Family-friendly vacation rentals in Eastern Cape

We had the pleasure of going back to St Francis and just had the best time. From the moment we arrived Tanya made us feel right at home. The location worked so well for us with youngsters going to Billies and we had easy access to the canals. We look forward to coming back :)

House was spacious and clean, with an amazing view of the next door nature reserve and a bit of the ocean. We loved using the jacuzzi every night, as well as the pool. Host was kind and very responsive to text messages. Great location, the neighborhood felt safe and the parking was gated for security.

Sarah was a fantastic host - helpful, friendly and quick to respond. The house had lovely views and it was a very easy walk to the beach - ideal location. It fitted our group more than comfortably and made our Kenton stay just the rejuvenating holiday we were after!

If you're looking for a place in Plett for a family holiday with young kids (ours are 9 & 6) then this is a superb house. Nice safe and peaceful complex, communal areas are clean, the pools are great, and the house has everything you need. BUT please note the 3rd outside bedroom is actually tiny. It's a double bed, right up against the wall. My parents (Granny and Granddad) also joined us and no way they could use that as a bedroom. They can't climb over each other to get out of bed! So they moved into the 2nd bedroom and our kids slept on mattresses on the floor for 10 nights. The outside room is perfect for 1 teenager/adult. The house is well equipped, and lots to do on rainy days. It definitely needs some TLC and in need of a modernization but overall a good family holiday house in Plett.

We had a lovely stay, the unit is very practical and caters to all your needs. John and his wife are the sweetest people and we enjoyed their hospitality. We had a small toddler & a baby and it was very easy to stay in this unit with great family friendly restaurants around.

Very luxurious residence, charming view, stunning beach and restaurant and very close café. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Sue's in our way up the garden route and it was just what we needed! The hot tub was warm and ready when we arrived, the property fit our family of 4 perfectly and it really was a lovely quant little flat. The surroundings were amazing - so beautiful. Would happily come back!

Jane was a lovely and very helpful hostess. Her place was clean and had everything we needed. Close to Bathurst and safe. A beautiful area.

Maria made us feel right at home. The place is incredible, and the furniture is equally impressive. We mostly followed the recommendations they gave us. The house is situated in a very safe area, just a 5-minute walk from a restaurant and a coffee shop. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away. It’s the perfect place to stay with a baby. We used the barbecue and beach chairs. Knysna is an ideal break on the Garden Route. We would have stayed longer if we could have!

We only had one night and would have loved to stay longer. Beautiful area and very comfortable historic cottage.

This was a great stay! Accross the road from the lagoon and awesome view provides a great environment to relax! Staff are very helpful and always available!

I stayed here for three nights to be closer to my CrossFit competition at the boardwalk. Absolutely great decision. Wonderful space, amazing pool, spacious park right next door and a good 5 minute walk away from the boardwalk mall or the beach. Octavia communicated so well before and during my stay. The garden is beautiful, the bed is soo comfortable and the shower pressure is on point. Would’ve appreciated some DSTV to watch the RWC but that was no train smash at all. Will definitely be back for a weekend away.

We stayed at Sarita’s for 5 nights. The studio was very clean, kitchen had all we needed and we even had a hairdryer! Location was just perfect for surf spots and a very nice and chilled beach. Loved the neighbourhood too. Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking to stay for a few days in J-Bay🏄🏻 Thanks!

Ian and Ronel were both incredible hosts. We felt extremely comfortable and taken care of. They had so many helpful recommendations it made getting settled into PE much faster! Good restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance, very easy to drive to Addo or Sancobb for animals. The place was very nice to stay even for long term (we stayed for 3 weeks). Safe parking and great kitchen with everything you would need.

We had a wonderful week at Christo's place. The house is beautifully furnished, spacious, well equipped and has a perfect location in St. Francis Bay. Christo was also always available for us. We would come back anytime!

Can't wait to return! We had a wonderful stay at Kirsten's place in Thesen Island. We were very comfortable - Everything was spotless and the amenities made you feel right at home with an extra spoil of the beautiful canals wrapping around the property. We had our 18 month old with us and she also enjoyed it so much with lots of space to run and explore. The 2x lounges with couches and TV's kept the whole family happy while cricket and rugby was on the little one could still get her own screen time in. Checkers60 and a few restaurants deliver with ease which was a big bonus that gave us more time to sit and relax and enjoy the space. We will definitely be back again and again. A big thanks to the responsive, friendly hosts.

Absolutely loved the place, it exceeded our expectations and was a lot bigger than what we thought. We cannot fault it, if anything, the pictures don't do it justice. Kathryn communicated well and is such a friendly host.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Lida's place , the house was beautiful positioned in a lovely garden area with charming pond in the backyard . Incredibly peaceful with lots of bird life and even a couple of resident peacocks to great you at the backdoor . The house is situated very close to the complex pool and tennis courts , which were always immaculate .It's a very easy walk to the beach and local shops and restaurants. Lida was a great communicator and made us feel very welcome even before we arrived . Definitely a highly recommended holiday accomodation!
