“This is the best place to stay in El Tránsito! We booked two weeks at first but then even extended to 4 weeks total because we liked it so much. The rooms are very clean, have everything you need and the bed is comfy. The house is located 50m from the beach/surfspot - perfect for surfing: There are some surfboards to rent, but we brought our own boards. There's also an outdoor shower right next to the gate, that helps you to keep the sand out of the room. Since I'm working remotely I was a bit worried about the Internet connection in the beginning. But the WIFI is good and even video calls were possible. Janio and his team are the best hosts you can imagine. They helped us out with everything, and even took us to Managua and Leon for a day trip. There's also a bar/restaurant close to the house and right at the beach with amazing food. Fresh fish & local food but also pizza, burgers and some vegetarian options. All in all it's a great place and I totally recommend it to anyone.”
Perfect for couples or single travelers. The casita is brand new, open concept with queen bed, kitchenette and bathroom. Private and spacious, shaded patio.
“Matt and Rachel were fabulous hosts! Matt made sure we were shown were everything was and even walked around the local properties for sale with us. The small home we stayed in was perfect for the two of us (I wouldn’t recommend any more people than that though), clean, and had most ‘western’ amenities; which made some things easier during our stay. We did go during the hottest time of the year (March) in Nica, so the home (although having ceiling fans) was a bit uncomfortable at times but we stayed cool with drinking the local AMAZING Flora de Cana rum and sitting on the yoga deck and/or beach to feel the wonderful breeze. Unfortunately, time flew by too quickly, and we were not able to eat at Matt’s restaurant; which smelled soooo good! Please be warned: This location is for those people [like us] that like to be secluded and enjoy the quietness of no nearby clubs, streets, tv’s, people, etc. It is almost like you are on your own private beach.”

“Fernando’s brother Janio treated us in such an amazing way that we really didn’t want to leave the place again. Probably this was our best Airbnb stay we’ve ever had! Wake up, check the waves from the balcony, go down to the 2 surf spots directly in front of the house, have amazing breakfast after the surf and hangout in the hammock for the whole day. All the local staff members were super nice, helpful and unbelievably friendly!”
