great place to stay. lovely views from the villa. brand new and squeaky clean. kitchen is getting done. a bit far from the city though.

The stay in the Gamini’s home was the silver lining of my trip. The house was very beautifully decorated with a good sense of taste (I took some pictures of their home and glad they like them as well). Our room is very clean and has the local flavor of display. The location is a bit hard to find, but Gamini was so kind that he drove himself to show directions for our driver. The Gamini family was so warm to introduce their pretty little garden (we had a chance to taste their fresh vege salad, amazing!) and it turned out to be an awesome mini garden tour. We also had a very good evening sitting at the garden and chatting about family and their experiences. In the next morning, I was lucky to join their activities in the temple where I sent the prepared food to monks. It was so authentic experience that cannot be found in tourists places. Just as Gamini described, it is a lovely and peaceful place to get away from the noise. A strong recommendation for those who love nature and nice ppl

Thank you for our stay. Helan was a terrific host and the breakfast was one of the best we had in our one month long stay in Sri Lanka. The place was large and spacious and quite authentically representative of the properties in Nuwara Eliya (“little England”). Fit the 12 of us and the room configuration was great for a large group. An Exquisite and Tranquil Retreat! What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! The house is absolutely gorgeous, offering everything one could possibly need to relax and so much more. Every detail reflects the care and thoughtfulness of the family who owns it. You can sense their rich history and deep love for art in every corner. From the stunning paintings to the elegant dining area and the beautifully designed bedrooms, the house radiates charm and sophistication. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience of elegance and serenity. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful, art-filled escape.

Absoutely loved the house, the location was perfect. 2 minute walk to Lake Gregory with great activities to do. Chandrakumar the housekeeper was super helpful and even had dinner prepared after our long journey on check in day. Would highly recommend.

The place is beautiful and green. It has been superbly designed and decorated and we loved our stay there. Rajan the caretaker is wonderful and ensured all our needs were taken care of and cooked amazing meals including an outdoor barbecue. The place was kept very clean despite its size and had several cozy nooks where we could all sit together. It was an overall very well thought out and equally well maintained bungalow. We would highly recommend it as a place to relax when in Newark Eliya.

Rika’s place is set in a lovely tea estate. We had a calm morning exploring the area. The caretakers were incredibly kind and made simple yet delicious meals on request.
