This gives it a wide view with plenty of privacy. The tranquility and space in this lovely cottage feels like a real experience, a place to dream away for a while!

Walden is located in the middle of the unique backdrop landscape of the Frisian woods. Trees, hedges and wooded banks surround the meadows. With grasslands, water and patches of forest in between. It looks cozy, those lawns between the trees. Smûk, we say in Frisian. As many as 250 species of birds and many other animals live here. The area also received a gift of pingos from the Ice Age. Located between two national parks: Lauwersmeer and De Alde Feannen. Ideal cycling and hiking area.

For day trips, you can be in Leeuwarden, Groningen or on Schiermonnikoog or Ameland within an hour. Have you ever been to the beautiful Dokkum? It is only 12 km away.
