Cabin vacation rentals in Escondido

What a beautiful property and surroundings. Headed up for a quiet weekend and to enjoy the surrounding Fallbrook area. The cottage was exactly as described and is the perfect size for a couple's romantic weekend. The jacuzzi was heated and ready to go and the kitchen came with a starter kit of coffee and basic cooking staples. Had a bit of a snafu with the coded key lock one evening but that was because we entered the code incorrectly the first time. Dawn was very responsive and remotely opened the lock to set us in. We had a bit of a lack of communication regarding a cheese and butter making class we had booked, but we will make sure to get that completed on our next trip! Overall this is an amazing property and experience. We will be back!

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

This was a great place for our trip to Oceanside. A little far to drive to Oceanside harbour, but on its own what the place offers the value is superb. Large property, space to play for children on a fenced property, felt very safe. An old character cabin, the whole family loved it.

This place is exactly what you see. You have all the privacy you need, but you're not too far away from the market. Finding the place, getting inside and the amount of things that you can do at the home, makes it worth the stay. The house was spotless, and everything in the house works. No surprises.

We had the most wonderful stay in this peaceful and cozy home! The amenities are amazing and the wood fired sauna was the cherry on top. The host was very responsive throughout our entire stay and provided us with everything we needed. The location is impeccable, in the middle of the forest and surrounded by beauty and quiet. We really didn’t want to leave this place but will definitely be back again soon! The home is so unique and very well equipped. We can’t wait to repeat our trip back here!

Place was adorable!! I will say some of the drive was scary like we were driving through a cloud so just make sure you don’t drive late at night. I’m sure it was just cause the time of year but still! Overall loved the place and are so happy we got to stay here!!

Nice and peaceful place. It has everything we need. We cooked good meals, stayed warm, took warm shower. We really enjoyed fire place. Sandrine is very responsive. Thank you for hosting this nice cabin. I recommend this place.

Beautiful peaceful relaxing getaway, we would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful A-frame cabin with great views from the top floor! The common spaces (living room, dining area, and kitchen) are much more spacious than they look in the pictures. Kitchen is well stocked with pans and utensils, bedrooms were spotless, and check-in and check-out instructions are clear. The fireplace is tricky to operate (especially if you’ve never built a fire) but the hosts provide a really useful instructional video. In terms of location, it’s an easy drive to the observatory and hiking trails. The one minus is that you can see and hear the neighbors on all sides and, since the property is not fenced, we encountered their off-leash dogs in the front yard a couple of times. The dogs are all friendly but, if you are traveling with your own dogs or children, this is something to keep in mind.

Beautiful cabin and super friendly and helpful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it! We loved making fires inside with the provided wood. The views were beautiful, and lots of great places to hike just a short drive away. Perfect spot for relaxing.

Stayed 5 days here with hubby for our 10 year anniversary. What started off as a jam packed itinerary quickly melted away into just staying in the cabin and relaxing. We were totally okay with it just being just us, in this peaceful space. Being able to bring our furry friends was absolutely amazing and made our vacation even more stress free knowing they are with us. Hosts made this experience incredibly easy. Instructions were incredibly thorough and I'm very glad we payed attention to them because the drive was like no other. 10/10 Would absolutely do again!

Blake was an amazing host. Whenever we had an issue or question, he got back to us right away and was super helpful! We had four people staying for two months, and the house was the perfect size. The garage, back patio, and fruit trees are great added bonuses. The neighborhood is amazing. The area is safe and quiet. I would totally recommend this place to anyone, but especially families with kids. It’s quick and easy to drive anywhere in San Diego. The one minor inconvenience of the house is that kitchen equipment (e.g. pots, pans, knives, etc.) is somewhat limited if you plan on a long-term stay with a lot of cooking. We ended up thrifting some stuff, which was cheap, and that just us through our time. Otherwise, it really was the perfect rental! I cannot say enough good things about our stay with Blake!

This place was an absolute dream. Deborah (Sunni) and her husband were quite possibly the best hosts me and my girlfriend could ever have. I communicated with Deborah prior to our booking about some dishes and things to surprise my girlfriend, and everything went as planned. The place itself, both the interior and exterior, look better than what you see in the pictures, and the backyard is a literal dreamworld, ripe with beautiful flora, fruits, and vegetables. We really appreciated the great conversations we had with Deborah and her husband, as they were kindred spirits who shared the same love and appreciation for this world and nature that we do. Deborah and her husband are chill, and never were imposing, and they made us feel at home. Thank you both for such a memorable experience. We hope to see you both again soon!!!

Chancellor is the best host EVER!! he was there if we wanted to ask questions and he was informative with interesting facts about his animals and the ranch itself. It’s our second time within one year visiting his ranch and we are returning again next month. It was that INCREDIBLE

We fell in absolute love with The Bluebird Cabin! We stayed three nights and did not want to leave. The place itself is so charming and has plenty of room for a family, though it was just my husband and me. Dogs: We also brought our two border collies who aren’t used to having outdoor space and loved getting to sit outside on the porch with us. Cooking & Home: We grilled steak and pork chops outside on the grill and used the full kitchen to make everything else. They have all needed dining sets, utensils, cutting boards, pots, and pans. We had everything provided to do laundry before we left, and there wasn’t anything we needed the house didn’t have. Views & Relaxation: The view of the mountains was perfect every morning and night, and there are several look out spots to drive to. I was there for the quiet and it was the most peace I’ve felt in a long time. We will definitely come back!! I added some books to the shelf for future guests - it’s a beautiful place to read.

In all honesty was a wonderful time and space i feel john may have jumped the gun on cleaning fee as an extra 25 for the last guest mess was uncalled for we did arrive to a very dirty hot tub which we spent 4 hours cleaning and we left it clean for the next guests as well, the previous guests had coffee and stained there countertop for which we were blamed for also was a small amount of coffee grounds pushed to the corner from the last guests. my wife works in housekeeping and we aim to keep the place we stay the way we found it we went above and beyond cleaning tub for next guests, overall it is a magical place and john deserves his credit for providing a great stay dont be afraid of my review as it was well worth it and just ask john to communicate by phone if he has any issues, would stay again and recommend julian and wynola are beautiful thanks john no hard feelings bud

Loved staying at Sandra’s cabin! It was exactly as described. Amazing couple days surrounded by trees and the smell of pine air. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to have a peaceful getaway.

This was my second stay in the Malbec home, and it was just a wonderful as my first stay! We enjoyed a rainstorm on Saturday evening, which sounded so lovely hitting the rooftop and dripping off the surrounding trees. Hot showers were incredible and leaving the windows open for a cool breeze was perfect. We visited the Safari Park during our staycation, which is only a short 20min drive from this Airbnb. I look forward to my next stay. :)

This stay at Christopher's home was a wonderful getaway from everyday life, it was nice and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and comforter kept me very warm at night, which is such a plus being in an area with winds and cold breezes. I really appreciated the setup of the kitchen and the sleeping area! There was many hiking trails in the area, which I unfortunately couldn't get to, but it looked perfect for an outdoor adventure with friends, family or fur children. The home goes off into a dirt and bumpy road, I would highly suggest to bring a vehicle that can withstand these types of terrain. The manual/guide sent over for the booking gives a complete layout on what to expect, which was very helpful. Including the part that there is no wifi and connection may waver based on phone carrier. This entire breakdown helped me prepare for this trip and made the stay much smoother.
