  • Throw A Pot In Cornwall
Your experience will be fun and informal yet informative and productive. You're definitely going to throw your own individual pot! We start by familiarising ourselves with the studio, the equipment and tools we will use during your experience. Then it's straight onto the wheel where you learn to centre the clay, and throw a pot. Once we have your pot formed we'll clean it up a bit and lift your creation from the wheel to dry. Then we'll do it again. Why not try another shape? You can throw as many pots as time allows. For an extra payment at the end of your experience you get to choose your favourite piece and when it's bone dry aprox 3 weeks I'll fire it for you in the kiln for 2 days then sand it down, glaze it to be fired again to be packed off to your home (Postage & Packing is included in the small additional cost.) • The Great Medieval City of Exeter
IMPORTANT: DUE TO CV19 RESTRICTIONS NOT ALL BUILDINGS WILL BE FULLY OPENED UNTIL JULY. SO THE TOUR LENGTH HAS BEEN REDUCED BY 1 HOUR AND THE PRICE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED. You will be taken on an immediately friendly, factual, relaxed, under the skin tour of one of the world's great medieval cities. Using my extensive local guiding knowledge you will experience intimate areas of the city not normally shown to the public. You will see things largely unknown, surprisingly, to even its own citizenry! I will personally guide you through living history from Roman roots AD50, the Rougement Castle of William The Conqueror 1068, Northernhay Gardens, Englands very first public space 1612, Britains' narrowest street 14th century and the 2 great medieval halls 1130 and 1471 to which we will have unique access. Along the way we'll delve into 1680s witchcraft, when Exeter became the last place in England to execute witches, The Prayer Book Rebellion 1549, Norman Conquest 1060s, Insurrection 1497, Vikings 1003, both World Wars, Royal births and the Woollen Cloth Trade which paid for all of it and made Exeter the 3rd wealthiest city outside London. What I've described will be a delightful 2 hours and I haven't even mentioned the great Cathedral nor the waterways...

  • Forest Wood Fired Sauna and River Swim
The ultimate experience in body detox, purification and well being. Guests shall meet at topsham bridge TQ74DR near loddiswell. One hour prior to meeting i will have prepared the sauna and the lighting around the swimming and plunge pool area ready for immediate use. For the best sauna effect our Narvia 14kw heater is fuelled by kiln dried logs which are provided as part of the package. On meeting i shall complete a safety brief on how to get the most out of the whole sauna and cold water river swim / bathing experience. Ie operation of the sauna, sauna and swim multiple entries and resting periods. Map of the swim pool depth and safe resting areas etc. Non swimmers are more than welcome as the river is very sandy and shallow in places around the plunge pool, so bathers can still enter the water safely without having to swim. Next we shall drive to the forest location to start the wood fired sauna experience and bathe / swim right on the River Avon. This activity as described and instructed usually lasts around 2-2 1/2 hours. Couples or groups who want to hire out the sauna and river swim area for private functions can do so simply by messaging me direct or hitting the private group icon. The cost to hire out the experience is 250GBP for a 3 hour period and a bottle of champagne is included in the price. A great experience for couples who want intimacy. Other things to note Its great fun to sauna and bathe at night I am flexible on times to commence the experience, just let me know the time and i will accommodate you.

  • My success with prosthetic adaptations
I don’t have a left forearm, so I’m always finding new ways to do things. I often need to use different prosthetic limbs to complete different tasks, and sometimes I need to make the things that I can’t buy off the shelf. I spent 2 years at college and became a qualified 'Carpenter and Joiner', so I have experience and learnings that I’d love to share. In this experience, I hope to bring you in on this process, show you how I do things, and hopefully inspire you to be a bit more creative in the ways you overcome different challenges in your life. Also, please share if you have any ideas for how I can do things better! This experience is great for groups or a team-building activity and group problem solving and creative thinking. Use the chat function, engage in my polls and play along with zoom reactions! Feel free to ask me any questions about what it’s like to live without a left arm. Don’t worry, you won't offend me; so ask away! Be sure to come prepared with lost of questions and ideas! I look forward to seeing you soon! Please check out my reviews beforehand too :-) General Schedule (open to change to meet needs of each group) 5mins - Introduction 10mins - Ice Breaker 10mins - My story 10mins - Show and tell 5mins - Demonstration on my work bench 5mins - Show and tell 10mins - Creative thinking 5mins - Q&A Other things to note This experience is best viewed from a computer / laptop screen.
