The treehouse is hidden up in the trees on the property of Alaska’s #1 Rated Hostel - Sven’s Basecamp Hostel. Sven’s Basecamp Hostel is where adventurers in Alaska begin a journey, meet up after a trip, or take a much-needed rest. Mountaineers, amateur naturalist, wilderness guides, motorcyclist, and those looking to explore Alaska find friends and relaxation here like nowhere else in Fairbanks.
“The treehouse is a really unique experience in a very interesting space - a hostel mixed with a campground vibe. Public spaces were great, clean and cute. Check in was easy and the hosts were really responsive to messages. The treehouse itself is clearly a labor of love: well put together and maintained. It can get a little chilly overnight, but that's to be expected in Fairbanks in the fall. To access and leave the treehouse, you have to climb stairs and go over a rope bridge both ways, but as long as you're comfortable with that, it's a really neat experience.”

Looking out the window experience breathtaking views of the Chena River and downtown Fairbanks. A STEP ABOVE THE REST - The home has been furnished with expensive quality, furniture and Decor. Extremely kid friendly with the downtown park on the left corner of the property. Walking distance to the iconic downtown bars and restaurants. There are so many activities to do on foot directly in front of the home!
“Exactly as pictured along with amazing amenities and location. Our group of 4 loved Nick’s and Maria’s place. It had everything we needed and more. The downstairs “game room/massage chair/movie” was a great place for us to hang out and spend time to relax after having hiked for hours prior. Upstairs, where the bedrooms are, were very clean and warm. Both bedrooms have nice big mirrors as well as the bathroom. Kitchen also offered anything you might need. We unfortunately experienced a car accident and had to check out later than planned and Nick and María were very compassionate and allowed a later checkout. Thank you so much for this great stay Nick and María!”
Completely remodeled home right in the heart of Fairbanks. This home is located on the Chena River, which winds through Fairbanks and is flowing with boats and floaters enjoying the midnight sun. Come relax on the deck with a beer and see why people love Fairbanks summers. ☀️ In the winter, enjoy the view of the northern lights from the comfort of the couch or private deck.
“Great home, great location (seconds from Starbucks!!) and beautiful view! I was sad that I was unable to see the Aurora Borealis during my stay, but I can see how this home could be a great vantage point with it’s unobstructed views over the river. Very clean and cozy home, very responsive and thoughtful host.”
