We are located in East Talkeetna which is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown. The map on this site is wrong. Since all the beds are upstairs it is not easy for elderly folks to navigate. There is a single couch/bed on the main floor in the living room area. There is only one bathroom on main floor. There is plenty of space to spread out and play both indoors and outdoors. The yard is fairly private and a great place for children and dogs to play. It is a short walk to the river and trails.
“This was a wonderful place to stay. My family and I needed a couple of nights as our place was being worked on. My family includes a cat, and I wanted somewhere I could bring him along. I messaged Jody about my cat, and she said he was more than welcome. We weren't expecting to find the house so well stocked. It was like walking into your own vacation home, all we needed were the groceries, and a few extras. She had great little notes about things in the area, and the house. Thank you Jody for such a wonderful few days away!”

Close to Iditarod headquarters, Selters Bay Golf course, 30 minutes to Hatchers Pass, 1 hour to Talketna, fishing, hiking, breweries, mountains and much more.
“Wonderful space, such a good price for this whole space, super clean so if you are like me and concerned about covid, this place will make you feel at ease and the bed & sheets were soooo soft and there was a plethora of pillows! 10/10 would recommend.”
A short walk to a beautiful lake, this classic round log cabin offers visitors a relaxing experience in the woods and close access to world class salmon fishing and a restful stop on the way to or from Denali. Enjoy the outdoors games like badminton, use the campfire pit for a cook-out, or fire up the grill for a BBQ. For the winter, bring your snow machine, skis, and ice fishing equipment. Heated with an oil Toyo Stove. Very Comfy!
“This little cabin was such a lovely place to spend the night near the Wasilla, Palmer and Big Lake area. The self check in was very helpful for our late-night arrival, after leaving work and driving from Fairbanks. My husband especially loved perusing the selection of Alaska Native themed books. We saw the nearby small lake as we were driving past and wished we had gotten a chance to explore. Thank you, Robin, for a relaxing stay!”
