Gladys and David were great, from our initial contact/questions (when we were looking for a place to stay) through our departure. They were responsive and really helpful throughout. They helped us to add an additional sleeping spot, so our kids could each have their own bed, which we really appreciated! We were specifically looking for easy access to a metro station and to American University...this location was perfect for both. The metro station, where we could also get a metrobus we needed, was a short walk away, and getting to American University on a Tuesday morning during rush hour was easy and quick. The area is very nice for a walk and there are grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. This was our first experience with Air BnB and it was a great one...we couldn't have had better hosts for our first Air BnB stay. Thanks, Gladys and David!

Jay and Linda's place was perfect for us. The location was great and the backyard was very nice, especially for our dog. Jay and Linda have thought of everything for their guests. They provided amenities you would not expect such as the things we like to drink, games, books bowls and a ball for the pup, plenty of towels and wash clothes, and more TV options than we could ever use. They communicated very well without being overbearing. They made sure that we were comfortable. We will definitely try to stay here when we return to Alexandria.

Location: 10/10 Communication: 10/10 Shower: 10/10 Little touches :10/10 This experience was more than I could have hoped for! The location was perfect for exploring Old Town Alexandria by foot. More importantly, it is only a 6 min walk to the nearest Metro Station. Only took me 15 mins to get from the airport to her front door! Mary reached out prior to my arrival to ensure a smooth check in. Her place was exactly as described. Shower pressure and temperature are amazing! Anything that I needed was there, even a fan for when I got a little warm overnight. I would not second guess staying here again.

Stacey's place was wonderful, clean, easy to get to and close to shopping, the metro and DC. The apartment was super clean and comfy. Internet was good, was able to stream and work without any issues. The beds were very comfy and we all got a good night's rest. Stacey even welcomed us with a yummy chocolate pound cake! I would recommend Stacey's place to anyone needing a place in the area. A+ in my book.

Pavla's apartment was squeaky-clean in all rooms and in a lovely neighborhood. I went walking most days and enjoyed the spring flowers everywhere. We like to cook so we appreciated the very well-equipped kitchen. The house is in a quiet area and the bed is firmly soft, so I fell asleep every night right away. The location was perfect for our activities in MD and DC--it was easy to get around from here. Thanks for offering your superb spot, Pavla! We had a great stay.

Nalins place was exactly as described. It is huge, quiet, clean and super close to Dulles Airport. We enjoyed staying there very much and can recommend it without hesitation. Beds were super comfortable!

I had the terrific pleasure of spending 5 months at this beautiful Airbnb and could not have been happier with my choice. The apartment is exactly as described--fresh, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated with modern touches and charming details. The space is thoughtfully laid out, with a generous living area, terrific workspace, and a SUPER comfy bed that made it easy to settle in for my extended stay. Samer and Denise are gracious, responsive, and go the extra mile. The apt's location is unbeatable, especially for if you plan to visit American University It’s just a short walk to campus, with easy access to the Metro for exploring the rest of DC. The neighborhood is lovely, safe, walkable, and lush (mature trees and beautiful front gardens). Within a few blocks, you’ll find 3 grocery stores, a range of great restaurants, shops--everything you need. Whether you’re visiting DC for business, leisure, or a sabbatical stay, I cannot recommend this delightful highly place enough!

I would definitely choose to stay here again if the opportunity arises. I really enjoyed it and it was extremely convenient. To help make your stay enjoyable as well, please read the description and communicate with the host to ask any questions. Know that there is no blackout blind in the bedroom. Also there is a mechanical or maybe water sound that has a low, constant drone near the bedroom. At the time of my stay, the young person of the house seemed to be up around 7:30ish and down at night around 7ish. Be prepared to get your feet wet if dew or rain as you have to walk through grass to get to the back of the house. Hope this helps.

Outstanding! Clean, well equipped with every day supplies, spacious and homey. The built in cubbies and hooks as well as the bookcases with a variety of books adds to the charm. The mattress in the bedroom is supportive with cloud like comfort for restful sleep. The patio is a lil slice of heaven! Character and charm abound from the claw foot herb tubs, the bold, bright, beautiful flowers, the comfy cushioned wicker chairs, just the perfect space to relax after a fun day exploring DC! Fabulous host! Fabulous home!

My family and I stayed here for a week while we were visiting DC. This place is close to the Metro (about 10-15 min walk). Ben was quick to respond to any questions I had. Place was spacious and comfortable for me, my husband, our son and his wife and our other adult son. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Had a great time in DC area thanks to convenient location. Everything was clean and residence was in a safe neighborhood. I felt very comfortable here with my family. Enjoyed the stay. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful time at Serena's place! The apartment is located in a beautiful neighborhood, close to various restaurants, shops, and the metro. Serena is a super kind host, and we appreciated the small things she provided to welcome us to her home (chocolates on the nightstand, snacks in the kitchen, slippers, etc.). You can tell Serena's place is well-loved, but everything is cleaned thoroughly prior to each stay (including the shower curtains). The bed was a little too soft for me (a memory foam mattress that dipped a little bit in the middle), but my sister loved it. Overall, we had a wonderful time here and would 100% return!

I want to gatekeep this place so it’s always available when I want it. Pann and Richard are the most kind, thoughtful, and considerate people I have come across in the Airbnb world, and even in my own world. There are so many beautiful and thoughtful touches in this home, and we were lucky to have two separate one-week stays over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. This is Nobel-level Airbnbing. We were so reluctant to leave. From the warm and welcoming basement to the minimalist but perfectly outfitted kitchen to the comfortable beds and perfect shower (and bidet and seat heater omg. All y’all better treat that thing right so it works forever!) this is the only place for me to be in Herndon. I am eager to come back in warm months so that we can enjoy the deck in the pool.

Absi is the most responsive host I have stayed with, a rightfully titled "Super Host" flexible respectful and courteous.

The apartment was elegant, clean and comfortably furnished. I had several arrival delays and Brian was very helpful and flexible. What a great location in a very safe area. It will definitely be my go-to place to stay in DC.

Spent a few days exploring DC with a friend and this was a perfect plane to stay! It was very clean, cozy and inviting. We loved the small extra touches of the sound machine and a shower stocked with the necessities. It was in a great location—quiet but very walkable. We would definitely stay again!

Great for short or long term stay! Amazing hosts and everything you need

I live in DC and my family came into town to visit me. Linda’s place was perfect since it was block away from my place. I highly recommend her place if you are visiting or wanting to have family over but don’t have to space. It’s a great starting point if you are wanting to stay in a peaceful neighborhood, but close enough to get to the monuments and enjoy DC.

My fiance, myself and our 17 month old had a wonderful stay at Sol’s place. They had everything we needed for the baby and then some plus tons of toys to keep him happy and entertained. All instructions and information were very clear. We would stay here again when in the area.

We stayed at Leonardo’s place while touring colleges in DC. It’s a beautiful, very clean apartment in excellent neighborhood, walkable to Georgetown. Being able to park on a driveway was a huge plus, given the parking rules in DC. Leonardo’s apartment has everything you may need and then some. I would absolutely stay there again!

Lynn is an outstanding host—attentive, thoughtful, and quick to respond to any request. The apartment is compact, cozy, and impeccably clean. Lynn has thoughtfully provided everything you might need during your stay, even pasta, instant noodles, and various seasonings. Both the kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked with cleaning supplies reserved just for guests. The unit is a semi-basement with its own private entrance, giving you nearly complete privacy. Although Lynn’s gym is right next to the bathroom, I was never disturbed; she’s very respectful of her guests' privacy. The only shared area is the laundry room, and she always checks in before using it. Overall, everything was fantastic! I had an absolutely wonderful time here.
