Rødhættes Hus is a tiny house, which is peaceful and idyllic on the shore of Kovad Bækken, in a clearing in the middle of Rold Skov and overlooking the meadow and forest. Just a stone's throw from the beautiful forest lake St. Øksø. The perfect starting point for hiking and mountain biking in Rold Forest and Rebild Hills or as a quiet shelter in the tranquility of the forest, from which life can be enjoyed, perhaps with the mouse owl hovering over the meadow, the squirrel darting up the tree trunk, a good book in front of the wood stove or coziness in the firelight at night.

The house is newly renovated with access to its own terrace and has the most beautiful view over a very special landscape. On starry nights, you can experience the starry sky from the bed through the studio windows in the roof. During the day, you can enjoy the special light that the location close to the sea and fjord casts over the landscape. On the ridge behind the house, there is the finest view of the Limfjord and the countryside behind. It is not far to the fjord, where there are good swimming conditions and the trip there is really beautiful.

The forest wagon

The forest wagon is for those of you who want peace and quiet. The incredibly cozy wagon is located on the edge of an old oak forest, overlooking fields and Limfjorden. The wagon is located on the protected Louns peninsula. The space The trailer has a kitchen with fridge/freezer, hotplates and a small oven. There is a shower and toilet. The wagon is heated by a wood-burning stove. Bed linen and towels must be brought or can be rented for DKK 100 per person. We expect the trailer to be cleaned. Bring the whole family to this amazing summerhouse with lots of room for fun, coziness, and family time. The house is located in a scenic area right by the Limfjord. Enjoy the Limfjord from the panoramic windows in the living room or walk the few meters down to the fjord. Hvalpsund is a cozy summer town with several opportunities to eat out. Hvalpsund also offers a lovely harbor environment at the ferry berth, where there is a lovely jetty a large playground and delicious ice cream in the ice house.

Here you will find nature, peace and plenty of cosiness in authentic surroundings. The house is the original cottage built around 1930, while we live in a newer house on the property. The house deserves to be lived in and cared for, and you – our guests, contribute to that. We also appreciate offering our guests a different type of holiday and on a budget.
