Arcata’s best kept secret!

Enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located spacious apartment. It is a short walk to the university, downtown, the community forest and a quick drive to our local beaches, forests and rivers. You have everything you need for recharging for new adventures you can find in our local guidebook. We are a family of 2 in the main house on the property and we will not disturb you unless requested. There are 2 separate private entrances and a code key holder prevents entry issue.

Our most intimate room, CrabPot offers a cozy, light-filled escape upstairs w/ picturesque view of Trinidad Bay. Plush king bed w/lux linens. Dormer window daybed invites reading, or can be an extra sleeping option. Private bath incl. a shower, pedestal sink, and all essentials. Located across from Redwoods Room — an ideal pairing for friends or families traveling together. Shared access to breakfast service. A delicious and healthy breakfast is served downstairs each morning at 8:30am.

Linens and Lace Victorian Room in Midtown Eureka

This room offers guests a vacation back in time in our historic home in the heart of Eureka's Midtown District. The decor of the room features an antique lace motif complete with white vintage furnishing including an iron four-post bed with glass knob, secretary's desk, love seat, and vanity. Natural light pours in the windows so you can wake up to the warmth of the sun. There is absolutely no smoking or burning of anything allowed in home, this includes all vaping, candles, marijuana.

Arcata Hearth

We are an urban homestead complete with a permaculture-inspired garden, chickens, and bees we invite you to enjoy. We provide our guests with eggs, milk, coffee, tea, pastries and fruit. All our cleaning products are non-toxic. The Arcata Community forest where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll or an active long run is just down the street. Our home is close to the beach, downtown Arcata, and Humboldt State University. You’ll love our location, your hosts, the views, and our garden.

Bell Cottage at Carter House Inns

A beautiful, historic Victorian in the heart of Old Town Eureka just a block from the Humboldt Bay working marina. The house includes a spacious living room with fireplace, dining area and fully-stocked kitchen. Three bedrooms include two queens with fireplaces and one double, each with its own ensuite bathroom, two with Jacuzzi tubs. Enjoy continental breakfast in our dining room, a glass of wine or bubbly at our Lobby Bar, included WiFi and off-street parking.

Relax in the heart of the village

Inviting guests to relax for a while or go exploring in our town, which has been in existence for over 160 years. My house is a cozy, mid-century ranch-style where guests can relax in the living room, sunroom or on a small deck overlooking the garden. There is no TV in this room but you're welcome to watch it in the family room. Ample parking. No pets please. My little dog isn’t real friendly with other pets, just people.
