Cottage vacation rentals in Forestville

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the lodge for our one year wedding anniversary. It is located on the same property as their vineyard which makes for a beautiful, serene view and setup. During our stay, we did a very personal wine tasting with David in the main house. It truly is a cool experience and unlike any other wine tasting I have done before, not to mention the wine was very good! The lodge itself is cozy and relaxing with a private back patio looking into the trees and nature. I wasn’t so sure about the outdoor shower at first but it was actually really nice! Water warmed up really fast and the view is amazing. The bed is located upstairs which was very comfortable and cozy with plenty of pillows and blankets. If you have trouble with mobility, the stairs leading to the bedroom are not easy to navigate and there are more stairs from the parking lot to the lodge with some uneven ground at times. If you are fine with stairs and some walking, it is well worth it!

The first thing you notice is the waves from all directions. You immediately feel at peace. All the amenities were easy to locate and good quality, including great pots and pans, knives dishes and gadgets for cooking. There were extra linens and towels, it was comfy upstairs and down. It was well laid out and you look out at Point Reyes and Tomales Bay while lying in bed upstairs. The stairs were quite steep but there was a nice bedroom downstairs as well. I enjoyed the heated ceramic floor in the downstairs bathroom and there was good water pressure. We loved the wide wraparound deck and dock, as well as outdoor tables and a garden. The beds and sofas were all very good quality and comfortable and it was nice to have the fireplace. The dog had room to sniff and roam safely at will as the decks and garden were well enclosed. Hog Island is one minute away, Tony’s five minutes away for the chowder, and truly awesome pizza at Route One on the way to the dog beach at Dillon. Thanks!

This was a perfect spot for a personal retreat. I loved everything from the decor to the comfy bed to the private hot tub and well tended garden. I would love to come back again.

This home is absolutely beautiful! The outside is gorgeous and relaxing. The outdoor patio and hot tub are amazing! The location is also fabulous. We went to the Bothe-Napa state park and the Castello di Amorosa both of which were only 15min away as is downtown Calistoga which is really cute. We really enjoyed our stay!! The only slightly problematic feature is the toilet, it doesn’t really work.

The Barn was one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever stayed. If you’re looking for a place to stay while wanting to see the Redwoods or just to get away this is the place to stay. There’s plenty of things to do with a couple little towns being roughly 20 minutes away. We looked through Emily’s guide book for things to do and it was perfect. Emily was also very sweet and was always available to any questions we had. 10/10 would recommend ☺️

I’ve done A LOT of traveling and have stayed in many Airbnbs, but Mama K’s is by far my most favorite! The house is lovely and has more than the amenities anyone would need and, I’ve never stayed in a more CLEAN Airbnb before— all the tiny details have not been overlooked! This was my second time enjoying the space & I did not want to leave. It’s one of the most beautiful, spotless (and I am very detail oriented!) and peaceful places I’ve spent time. The grounds are absolutely beyond beautiful— from the lush yard to the incredible access to the Russian River out the back door to the outdoor shower and private clawfoot tub, the hot tub on the deck to the whimsical gardens, use of river toys (canoes & kayaks) and more! I had tears in my eyes when it was time to leave! I cannot say enough about this truly one of a kind and magical place. Thank you Karen for the opportunity to enjoy a true slice of heaven!

Perfect little studio in a beautiful neighborhood! We didn’t have a car during our stay and had no problems walking or taking the bus to nearby wineries and restaurants.

We had a great time. The cottage was comfortable and warm. Loved the patio out back.

If you want a cute cottage near the square, this is a great option! This home is perfectly located only a few blocks from the main square for easy walking in and out of town. The home was clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend in Sonoma, including umbrellas that came in handy!

Collin's place was so lovely and peaceful! We had a great time and really enjoyed having the creek right outside the bedroom. Collin was kind enough to give us some recommendations for places to eat that we really enjoyed!

We had a wonderful time at Cabin C. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, the ferns and the sound of the nearby creek while lounging in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was really comfortable. Hope to return.

Our stay was perfect in every way. The space is gorgeous and peaceful, tucked among the trees. I was obsessed with the outdoor cast iron tub (hot water under a canopy of trees, what could be better?). Canela, the sweet sweet canine hostess checked on us every few hours, and was a complete delight. We took the recommendation to check out the grove of old trees, and it was sacred and divine. I left feeling so meditative, at peace, and recharged for a difficult transition coming up in life. Thank you thank you thank you

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend getaway at Pat's place. We have stayed in Bodega Bay before, but this place was by far the best we've stayed at. We loved the convenient location walking distance to the beach and just a few minutes drive to restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed the deck for bird watching, listening to the waves, and star gazing at night. We also loved the charm and character of the house, the kitchen was adorable with all the amenities we needed, and the living room was awesome for relaxing and taking in the evening sunsets. Overall the house was clean, comfortable, and private. We will definately be back, our only regret is not staying longer!

We hope to return to this location with family and friends. This property has 2 AirBnB cottages. They are nestled by beautiful gardens with a view of the mountains. Easy access to many vineyards, excellent restaurants, hikes, and the Charles Shultz Museum. We slept amazingly well with the comforts of home. Linda was a very gracious host and she even gifted us with a jar of her delicious homemade jelly. Our time at this location was truly wonderful!

Mary's place will stay in our memories for a long time. We felt right at home. The house was charming and cozy without being kitschy, clean without being austere, well stocked with personal touches. Our favorite spot was the cushioned nook in the kitchen with a view of the ocean. We had a lovely, peaceful stay. Mary was a responsive, friendly host. Thank you!

We decided last minute to stay an extra night at the Russian River but had to be out of our other Airbnb. Marc and Brett were super responsive and made it possible for us to check into their place in the same day. The home is absolutely stunning, we were so sad to be there only one day. We bbq’d dinner and enjoyed the back yard and loved the porch! Will definitely need to do a longer stay!

This cottage is an absolute gem! It was so cozy and comfortable. It was impeccably clean. The linens and furnishings are top-notch. The bay view is fantastic. The host was responsive and friendly. We’ll return for sure!

We had a great stay at this house and would encourage others who want to be centrally located to the town of Sonoma. In terms of the house: it was very clean and had plenty of room for two or three people to stay (four would be tight for lounging- although there are lots of chairs). The kitchen was well stocked in terms of tools. I want decent knives and pans and those were both good here. Issues- It was a bummer that we had no working TVs or hot tub for a good part of our stay. I could have reached out to the owner sooner, but for the first two nights it was too late to have someone come over to troubleshoot. Internet access is imperative. Once notified, the owner was super responsive. The nearby creek is nice to hear and gives the property a peaceful background noice but the mosquitos are awful. Definitely use repellent. The local grocery store with a fantastic deli and bakery. The restaurant The Mill at Glen Ellen was dynamite.

Idyllic cottage respite. Rustic, not rusty! Feels worlds away in the countryside yet just two miles or less from wineries, restaurants and downtown/Sonoma square. Minimal kitchen (small fridge) but can accommodate lighter fare such as sandwiches, yogurt/parfait for bfast, charcuterie, or take-out (bring back and eat on the lovely wraparound porch, watch an amazing sunset and listen to the peaceful nightlife). Four people max — trundle and one queen — but it was comfortable and a wonderful setup for our needs. Dim bath lighting but fixable. Very fluffy towels and nice linens, plenty of seating for inside or outside dining/lounging. Hosts are on property but unobtrusive/unseen. We were greeted with a beautiful bottle of wine and some light provisions to help us unwind and settle in. Definitely would come back. Thank you, Kathleen!
