The studio apartment is located in the heart of leafy Graefekiez in Kreuzberg, one of Berlin’s most popular & beautiful neighbourhoods with its many preserved historic buildings. The flat itself has a big balcony and views into the quiet and green courtyard. The apartment is fully furnished and offers full access to fresh bed sheets & lines, towels, wifi, and basic cleaning and washing materials. There is a washing machine and dryer in the building. The bed is a good sized double bed (160 width) and the apartment has a little bit of storage space for your clothing. Kitchen and bathroom are newly refurbished with beautiful marble tiles. The kitchen is equipped with a mini hob, microwave, fridge and a dishwasher as well as a nice working/ eating space looking out onto the balcony. As soon as you step out of the building you have got everything you need on your doorstep. Other amenities - Hairdryer - WiFi - First aid kit - Smoke detectors - Fire extinguisher - Balcony with table and chairs - Washing machine & dryer on request, service for a wash & dry available for 10 EUR - Iron and iron-table on request It's completely your apartment whilst you're staying here, all I am asking for is that you are respectful of the neighbours as well as the apartment and that you don't smoke or have parties. The studio apartment is located in the heart of Kreuzberg, Berlin's most multicultural neighborhood. Everything you need is on your doorstep. Great restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and galleries. The underground is a 2 min walk and there is a beautiful park & canal (Hasenheide & Maybachufer) for walks/ jogging next door. The colourful Turkish Market is around the corner and the many vintage and local artisan shops in the beautiful old buildings make this neighborhood a pleasure to stroll through. The apartment is located directly on the underground line U8 (station "Schönleinstrasse") which crosses the center of the city from North to South and hits many tourist spots. The underground station "Schönleinstrasse" is a 2 min walk away. The U7 and U1 underground lines are also nearby and a 5min walk away (station "Hermannplatz" or "Kottbuser Tor") - here you can travel from East to West. The U1 is Berlin's party line as it hits many drinking and clubbing spots. --> to Alexanderplatz/Mitte 8min --> to Berlin Central Station 20min --> to City West/ Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten 20 min --> to Friedrichstrasse/ Brandenburg Gate 15 min --> to Mauerpark 20 min --> to Berlin Tegel Airport 40min --> to Berlin Schönefeld Airport 36min Berlin is also an extremely mobile city when it comes to car/ bike/ moped shares which you can rent for short trips on every corner of the neighbourhood easily with your mobile app. Contact me for information on this if you need. Parking in the area is free but usually requires a bit of searching for a parking spot. Since the 1st of January 2014 all private Berlin visitors have to pay the so called City Tax. This 5% tax has to be paid on top of the price you pay on Airbnb and will be collected during your check in. This legislation affects all guests staying in hotels or private accommodation, except for guests staying longer than 21 days, or business travellers who have proof that they are in Berlin professionally. Cosy apartment with bird chirping

In a prime location, immerse yourself in a lively Berlin with its typical flair and enjoy a stylish temporary home right on the Spree in the heart of vibrant Kreuzberg. Set in a former jam factory, this quiet apartment was decorated in January 2012 with love and a sense of security for beautiful interiors. Relaxed beach bars, trendy clubs and good restaurants are just around the corner. Countless real Berlin pubs are open all night and for the appetite in between there are snack stalls with kebab, pizza and homemade burgers of first quality. It is five minutes to the Künstlerhaus Bethany, ten minutes to the "Badeschiff", a swimming pool with a pontoon floating on the Spree, from where you can admire large passing ships. Quickly get there and away The transport connection is perfect. You have 300 m to the U-Bahn (subway), 800 m to the S-Bahn (subway) and can reach all the cultural highlights and centres of Berlin in no time. Your home away from home The apartment has been equipped with carefully selected individual pieces according to all the rules of the art of furnishing. A heated floor made of smoked oak real wood parquet forms the appropriate – and barefoot warm – stylish basis for this. Many of the furniture comes from the boardroom of a former sauerkraut factory in Brandenburg – discovered by a friendly location scout during the shooting of a film project. For comfort and well-being, there is a large bright bathroom with bath and shower, a kitchen with an induction hob, microwave, various kitchen appliances such as kettle, etc., and a practical washing machine. Fast Wi-Fi and cable TV ensure fast internet connection and good entertainment. Right down in the courtyard there are two playgrounds – if you come with your children – and a large communal terrace for everyone with views over the Spree. A good place to unwind after a day in Berlin. All rooms are characterised by a consistently generous design that creates clarity and leaves open spaces. The colourful paintings of the hostess, an artist and illustrator from Munich, create a good mood and an artistically inspired atmosphere. Hausgeschichten The house at Köpenicker Straße 10a has a long history. On the dry meadows of the Katundrucker and wool dyeers on the Spree, the building was built in 1911 in Art Nouveau style. The tenants of this time were craftsmen, merchants and officers – Helmut Aust Marmeladen-und Konservenfabrik GmbH settled in two of the transverse buildings. Directly behind the building, the Flussbadenanstalt was founded by Ernst von Pfuel in 1817, the first military school and swimming pool in Berlin, which lasted until 1933. The Pfuel bathing establishment shaped the image of all other Berlin river baths, which were built on poles and had a shielded water basin protected from prying eyes. Over the years, the property has been modernised over and over again – nothing has been lost from the original charm of the founding period. Welcome Please note that the Berlin Senate levied a bed tax of 5% of the accommodation costs (tourist tax) on 1.1.1014. Unfortunately, I have to receive this amount in cash on site (for a receipt) from my guests.... There is coffee as well as lunch and cakes. A supermarket is right next door. Kreuzberg is a sprawling district where many students and artists live. Here you will also find thrift stores, street art, casual bars and food stalls. U12, Schlesisches Tor stop, several bus lines, S-Bahn (suburban train) Warschauer Str or Ostbahnhof The apartment is on the ground floor of a green courtyard, in front of the apartment there is a bench for smokers. The apartment has automatic shutters, so that the rooms can be completely darkened if desired.
