Guesthouse vacation rentals in Friesland

For me, it was a very spontaneous short trip with my two kids and we enjoyed it very much. Clean accommodation and also the washrooms were very clean. Great playgrounds for the kids and nice communication. All in all worth a trip. The sea was not within walking distance, but even there you were within 5 minutes. Thanks for the getaway!

Amazing place. Totally stunning, peaceful farm setting. We were left two freshly laid eggs 🥚 for morning breakfast 🍳 . We were on a 10 day road trip, but I could have happily turned my phone off and stayed here all week! Very friendly people. ❤️❤️

We had a fantastic weekend at 't Holthus! An oasis of peace, surrounded by beautiful nature and with all the comfort you could wish for. The cottage was stylishly furnished, sparkling clean and equipped with every comfort. The hot tub was of course a highlight. The warm welcome and personal touches of the owners made our stay extra special. Perfect for recharging for a while.

We loved our stay at Thomas's place. The caravan is spacious and equipped with every comfort. The terrace was also very complete in terms of furniture with both sun and shade. However, we were bothered by mosquitoes so we definitely recommend bringing a mosquito spray.

Was there nearby for work so only eat and sleep in the evening. And asked out the door. Too bad because they have a beautiful and large garden with everything you need . Barbecue relax etc . Maybe use other x with more time. Beautiful surroundings and location

The B&B fully met our expectations. It is quietly located in the countryside, clean, homely and very complete. Ilse is an excellent host and communicates easily. We had 4 wonderful days in Friesland. The weather was good, so we could enjoy cycling over the dike and between all the nice Frisian villages in the area. So highly recommended and the value for money is also a great one!

Debby is a great host who welcomes you very warmly. It's very comfortable. The village of De Waal is very small and beautiful. The city of Den Burg is only 10 minutes away by bike. We highly recommend it.

A peaceful and quiet place where you can truly breathe and enjoy the serenity—such a wonderful home. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful; we really wished we could speak the same language to have long conversations with them. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with everything you need to cook. The house looks exactly like the photos—maybe even better in real life. Although the hosts live very close to the house, it’s never a problem. On the contrary, it makes you feel safe and comfortable.

Nice little apartment in a quiet neighborhood! We enjoyed our stay very much. The sauna in particular was a highlight at this time of year. Communication with Jessica was great. Apartment was exactly as described, perfectly equipped and very clean. Therefore really recommended!

The place is top of the apples and I didn't miss anything. The hostess Aukje lives right next door. She is very friendly and if you need anything, then the short walk next door is enough. Good supermarkets close by. Since I was only here for road biking, I can't write anything about the city of Drachten. But for road biking, it's an ideal starting point to take extensive tours in all directions. I'd love to come back.

Very nice welcome, super nice hosts, so I quickly felt at home. Anything you need is present and even more (including animal care items). Beautiful apartment facing the church. Quiet area and wonderfully quiet at night. Everything within walking distance, train, buses, museums and other attractions. There were also a lot of books about Leeuwarden, very nice. Despite the grey weather, I had a great time. Much to see in Leeuwarden and rest of Friesland, really too short.

Great place to stay! The appartment is private and has access to their beautiful garden! We had an amazing weather so we enjoyed lunch in the garden. The hosts try to be as ecological as possible, so it is highly appreciated. They are very friendly and welcoming! Very recomendable!

It is a great cottage, located behind the house of Nynke and Johannes. There are 2 sweet dogs and 6 cozy chickens. The fresh eggs were already in a basket ready in the kitchen. We were allowed to come earlier and stay a little longer because there were no guests before and after us. Very attentive. The stay is cozily furnished, good beds, everything clean and tidy. A beautiful garden, with its own seating area (sofa, table and dining table with chairs) and cozy lights. The kitchen is fully equipped from potato paring knife to salt. Bedding made up beds and towels are provided. All in all a nice place that we can recommend to everyone.

The property is part of Mariska's house with its own access and private porch and shed. In the attic is the large double bed with two comfortable mattresses and a large blanket. In the ground floor area there is a kitchenette, a small sofa, a table for 2 people and a bathroom with shower. Everything is clean. Since it can get warm under the roof in summer, a powerful fan is also available. Mosquito lamps are available. But in this water-rich region it is better to bring something yourself. Parking, canal and supermarket are close by. Mariska's veranda on the canal may be used. There are two electric boats available, which can also be rented without a boating license. Captain Rob gives an instruction and a plan with all the canals and lakes that you can drive on. In addition, you should use Google Maps. With the small boat you can navigate narrow reed channels and cross low bridges. Amazing adventure! Best day!

Very quiet at night, very peaceful sleep, excellent coffee, greeted by chickens and a rooster in the morning.

Elisabeth is a great host. very friendly, responds quickly to messages. everything was exactly as described. the kitchen works without problems. At night, the frogs quiver and you can see hundreds of stars. It was really great.

I'm very excited about everything: the space, Wim and Els, the surrounding area and not to forget, the lookout tower! I will definitely come back.

We had a lovely time at Hammie and Lieuwe's place! Super friendly people, nice house and a nice atmosphere. You immediately feel at home. Definitely recommended for a quiet holiday in a beautiful setting!
