The most unique feature of this accommodation is the one-of-a-kind “egg sauna.” This is a fully DIY sauna, developed entirely by JP, from design to production, with a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can't get anywhere else, surrounded by the gentle warmth of a wood-burning stove. The room also has a traditional Japanese hearth (irori), a characteristic feature of old Japanese houses. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as enjoying a hot pot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own cooking utensils, such as ingredients and skewers. The accommodation is located in a quiet hamlet called Kobusa, nestled in the mountains of Misasaki City, Okayama Prefecture. Right nearby is Nishi-Awakura Village, which is gaining attention as a village focused on regional revitalization and relocation, and the area is characterized by a rich natural satoyama landscape. We completely renovated an empty building and converted part of the first floor and the second floor into a guesthouse. On the first floor, there is an entrance, a washbasin, a shower room, and a toilet. On the second floor, we have a living room with a kitchen counter and a bedroom for you to relax in. Built as part of the reconstruction project following the Tottori Great Fire of 1952 (one of the largest fires in the post-war period), the Wakasakura Kaidō remains today as Japan's first designated fireproof building zone (Fireproof Building Zone No. 1).A corner of the building was renovated and transformed into a guesthouse. A short walk away is the Tottori Onsen Public Bath, and in the town centre, you can meet a variety of unique shopkeepers.Enjoy a quick, yet somewhat profound, getaway at Machiyado OTTORI. “When you fall in love with a place, you find wonderful people there.” The purpose of my trip is not just sightseeing. Mooska is an Estonian word that means "a person who enjoys life." There is nothing here... that's why it's so relaxing... 　Chizu-cho, Hatto-gun, Tottori Prefecture, is a small town in a mountainous area surrounded by mountains, rivers, fields and rice paddies, 93% of which are forests. 　The Tottori Sand Dunes, a tourist attraction, are about an hour away by car, and there are several nice tourist spots and recommended cafes in the town. 　It's a good place to use as a base for sightseeing, or just relax to your heart's content without going anywhere.
