Ivano and Terhi were BY FAR the most welcoming, thoughtful and kind hosts we have EVER experienced on our travels. Right from the get go, Tehri welcomed us with a shuttle from the Zagorolo station and we felt right at home in the little cottage. Ivano gave us some tips on what to do and asked us to reach out if we got stuck in the rain and needed a ride or needed help with how to spend our time. The place is cosy and an easy 25m stroll to the station and supermarket. We enjoyed delightful days exploring the area and then came home to our little cottage surrounded by olives eating homemade Italian food. Ivano and Terhi went above and beyond. Their kindness was so refreshing after a few weeks of being treated like "tourists". If you are wanting to explore Rome, experience Italian hospitality and not be swallowed up by the busy streets and traffic, this is the place for you! If we ever come to Italy again, we will stay here for sure!!! thank you Ivano and Terhi for the beautiful moments ❤

Such a lovely welcome to Sylvia’s home with a delicious apple cake baked by her mother! We wanted to stay somewhere near Tivoli to see the fabulous gardens at Villa d’este and it didn’t disappoint. Neither did they! Up high with lovely peaceful grounds, view of Rome and lovely attention from Sylvia’s parents who were so friendly, introduced us to their two donkeys and gave us eggs from their hens and olive oil from their trees! I loved sitting outside in the December morning sunshine with my coffee overlooking the beautiful gardens, chatting to her parents and listening to the braying donkeys! Sylvia was most attentive to all our needs. It was a lovely experience.

All super, Everything has been thought of here. Make it up and it's provided. Everything is clean. The lighting is atmospheric. The house is in a somewhat poorer neighborhood, but on every corner and each quite piece, the residents have put pots and plants. Really Italy. The descent to the city center through the small alleys is an experience. Within walking distance: the temple of Dea Fortuna etc., the archaeological museum, the birthplace of the composer Palestrina. We met a nice concert in the cathedral. Joanna is very helpful, and responds immediately. We have already celebrated holidays in many apartments. This is a winner.

Paula’s apartment was very cosy. Paula clearly worked to make it homey and comfortable. The view from the apartment is gorgeous! We were in the apartment from Jan 2nd to Mar 8th; outside was windy and extremely cild, Paula’s apartment was toasty warm! Paula was responsive within minutes of contacting her. Monte Compatri is an ideal spot for anyone wanting quiet, fresh air and great views. There is grocery shopping nearby, coffee bars, and some little restaurant. It is NOT the place for action and/or parties. We were very happy in our little home away from home - we were able to de-stress and recharge, exactly what we were looking for in Paula’s apartment!
