“The days in Richard's accommodation were so beautiful! We were greeted so warmly with a fresh coconut. In the small open kitchen we enjoyed breakfast every morning and cooked fresh fish in the evening. Everything was spotless. Richard even provided milk, coffee, oil and spices. The beach is 3 minutes away on foot and beautiful with great waves for beginners and advanced surfers. There are very nice restaurants in sidewalks. In the morning, the way to a french bakery nearby is a great start in to the day. We had fantastic and interesting conversations with Richard and are looking forward to seeing him again next time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a wonderful stay!”

“Robert and Trudy are great hosts. This is their guest house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a king size bed and two twin beds, a/c units in both bedrooms, perfect for a family of four. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining room and living room are very comfortable as well. The house comes with towels (beach towels too) no need to bring your own. This house is on top of a hill. The view is amazing with a nice breeze. But you need a car to get there. Robert provides great directions, but be aware, all roads around Nosara are dirt roads. You need a small SUV or bigger, preferably four wheel drive. The house is 10 mins from Garza (very small fishing village) and 20 mins from Nosara where you will find 3 grocery stores. We spent most time in Guillones Beach, perfect for surfing and Pelado beach, more calm with less tourists. We also drove to Samara one day and spent the whole day there. Needless to say, the beaches around Nosara are gorgeous. We usually started the day with a heavy breakfast in many of the town restaurants (Trudy can provide suggestions) and finished the day with a late lunch before heading back to the house before dark. We did not drive back to the town for dinner due to the quality of the roads. In summary, the house was great, we did not expect driving on dirt roads but it was all worth it. Thanks Robert and Trudy for the hospitality.”
Container cabin only a few steps from the beach! Off the beaten path for a unique adventure experience. Private, secure and complete with full bathroom, kitchenette and ice cold AC! Located in Guiones Sur or Guiones South; a more remote area of the beach with a friendly local vibe and beautiful secluded beaches! Guiones downtown is a 10 min drive (touristy area with shops, restaurants and tourist activities)
“We stayed two nights and really enjoyed our time there! The bed was very comfortable with the best pillows we’ve had in all our Central America travels (I love good pillows!). Kitchen was nicely stocked so we were able to prepare easy meals there. Shower was fantastic and hot! Beach is super close! There’s even a beach umbrella to use, which was a thoughtful touch. It was very small and there’s *very* little room to spread out your luggage, but it was cozy for us as a couple. Might be hard if you’re traveling with friends. We were sad to leave! Planning to come back! One note for travelers without their own transportation: this is very far from town! We were planning to walk there from Playa Guiones with our bags but thankfully thought to rent an ATV at the last minute. The walk would have been at least an hour in full blazing hot sun. I did make the walk into town one day along the beach with just a small satchel and that was even really tiring. So just a word of warning that you really need wheels to be at this place. It’s remote. But that’s part of its charm.”
