What an incredible slice of heaven at Ginny's Place! Spent a few days with my family to get away and reconnect and couldn't ask for a better place! The view of the river is incredible, I spent every morning there with a cup of coffee before anyone got up and soaked in the peace and calm the Chowan River had to offer. The house is beautifully decorated and felt very warm and inviting. My kids had a wonderful time fishing off the dock and my son had his first experience with the provided kayak and that made for beautiful pictures and memories. One thing I should of looked up was the proximity of a Tesla charging station, 45 mins to the closest charger was at least manageable. There is a country store, hardware store and a deli all within 10 minutes and had most of the items we needed. Food Lion is 15 minutes away and so is downtown Edenton. We had dinner at the Herringbone and it was amazing! Their sweet tea and local fish was absolutely delicious. Book this place, you will not regret it

A beautiful house in a perfect neighborhood. Denise was very attentive and thoughtful. We would definitely stay here again. The small cemetery mentioned in another review was very well kept. We enjoyed walking around in it looking at the tombstones. Thanks for the great banana bread.

This was my 2nd time staying here and again it didn't disappoint!! The kitchen was well stocked, and everything you could need is there! You just can't beat that view!

The River House was the perfect getaway for a month. The location is removed enough to feel peaceful and serene, yet a quick drive into town for groceries didn’t feel daunting. Some highlights: - The sunroom is a huge perk and we loved reading in there - Hosts provided lots of fun ways to enjoy the property and water - kayaks, floaties, outdoor seating, fire pit, etc - Joan is the nicest, friendliest point of contact. Couldn’t have asked for a better host - The entire house is super well stocked, including anything & everything you could need in the kitchen, tons of extra towels, and snuggly blankets to use on the couch
