Theresa was a wonderful host. Friendly, extremely communicative, and very responsive to any questions or messages. Her place is absolutely perfect for those traveling with dogs. We had two 25-30 pound dogs with my husband and myself and we were all very comfortable. The shared fenced yard was a very convenient bonus for having a safe space to let our dogs roam and potty. The personal touches were awesome, including dog treats and some freshly made cookies for us humans. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area!

Loved how spacious and clean the house was. Janet made it very easy to communicate and check in. She even reached out to us beforehand due to bad weather that was coming into the area to make sure we knew about what to do and where to go in case. It is a beautiful home…wish we could have enjoyed it longer but we were in town only for one night for a wedding that was nearby. We would love to visit again.

While we only stayed on night on our cross-country trip, Carol’s place was one of our favorite stops. Located down a gravel road, this “Missouri Century Farm” is a special place…quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The farm is located on the northern edge of the Ozarks, down a gravel road that takes you away from civilization and into a wonderful river valley with overlooking bluffs and plenty of places to hike and experience nature. On our visit, the afternoon clouds gave way to a brief thunderstorm. This made for a very magical moment as we sat on the front porch enjoying sound of the rain and watching the nearby horses seek shelter under the trees along the adjacent fence line. The cabin is charming, clean, and very comfortable…but be aware that calling it a “two-bedroom unit” is a bit of a stretch. It is more like a studio with an open loft.

Second time here was even better than the first. Great dining just a short drive away in Hermann. We enjoyed walking down to the river and nearby park and then coming back to warm up in the hot tub. Even the rainy day was enjoyable as we sat on the covered porch with hot coffee and cards. A fantastic weekend getaway.
