Our cottage is located at the banks of the Yuhara River, at the banks of the Uenbara River. Speaking of Gifu, Shirakawa-go and Hida Takayama are famous, but Enhara is also an inconvenient place in the mountains, but it is nice. The landscape of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a natural place where monkeys and deer appear. The Enhara River is a landmark of Japan's most beautiful underwater water and light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of underwater, so the transparency of the water is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On a summer morning, you can see a magical view of sunlight from among the trees due to weather conditions. The water in the Enhara River is cold, but in the summer, the children are playing in the river energetically. Temperatures drop a lot in the river, so even those who escape the heat and cool off. A little further downstream, there are several spots for swimming in the river, and the water is clear and beautiful, making it a pleasant place to swim. The water in the river shines a little deep in emerald green, the rock and moss landscape is fantastic, and it is a healing spot where the mind is purified. The small but dignified Japanese garden, built over 100 years ago, welcomes you to the private rental inn, "Dai-mae house". This inn, "Daimae", is located in a temple complex to the east of the Takayama Basin. If you go up the stairs along the mossy stone wall from the road, you will be greeted by a protruding pine tree. When you open the lattice doors, you can see a Japanese garden on the right that seems to have been built over 100 years ago. Enter the front entrance, and enter the living room from the tatami mat hallway, from where you can see the Japanese garden. Further down the hall is a tea room, where you can sit and watch the Japanese garden, which is small but has a sense of elegance.

"MakotoyaTenman" Takayama Station 3 · 155 ㎡ · Open air · Digging ~

Opened on October 1, 2016!(The second store, Makotoya Ohjin, opened in May 2024.) It is a traditional Japanese house in a very convenient location. It is about 3 minutes on foot from Takayama Station and about 5 minutes on foot from the old town. When you enter the house from the front entrance, you may feel as if you are in an old Japanese house. You can also enjoy the "horigotatsu" and "open-air bath".
