“Exactly what was needed - ideal location and price. I needed a place for a good nights sleep and that’s exactly what I got. Great shower. Missed out on breakfast as it was a flying visit. Highly recommend.”

“Wonderful return visit here for 9 days and coming back again in April. I love the apartment, the hospitality, comfort and quiet of this cozy Airbnb apartment. It’s perfect for me alone and will be nice to return with my husband on a future visit. Keith and Danielle are attentive, warm and friendly. They offer the perfect balance of being there for you when you need them and giving you plenty of privacy and space to yourself. I love the welcome of a generous starter pack of food upon arrival. Flying in from USA and jet lagged, it’s a big bonus for me. I love the visiting kitties who will come in and hang out with me when invited. Thank you for providing a lovely space and a home away from home . I’ll look forward to many happy returns!”
Situated in picturesque North Kilkenny, one mile from the village of Gathabawn. Located just off the M8, halfway between Cork and Dublin. Within 25 mins of medieval Kilkenny City. The Rock of Cashel, Thurles and Portlaoise are also within 30 mins. There are a number of walking trails in the surrounding area or within a short drive such as the Gathabawn Loop, Durrow Loop, Slieve Bloom trails and the Devils Bit trail.
“We had a really restful time in Margaret's cottage. She had the place set up for us when we arrived, fire lit and milk and butter in the fridge. The house has plenty of space for one or two couples. It's a great place for a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle, it feels like stepping back in time. The bedroom we used was comfy and we slept very well. The kitchen is also well stocked for cooking. One improvement could be a water filter in the kitchen - the water is fine to drink, but has some grit in it. Great value for money overall. The house is in quite a secluded area driving distance to plenty of walks, other villages like Durrow and the town of Kilkenny. We walked down to the pub Mackeys which took about 20 mins and had a good atmosphere on New Year's Eve. Make sure you bring your supplies and just enjoy settling in in front of the cosy fire!”
