The Speakeasy, a Green Lake Getaway

LoriRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Clean and quiet, beautifully decorated with fun, eclectic touches. Lots of little extras like snacks and drinks and clear instructions with local suggestions. My favorite though was the comfortable bed with cotton sheets! Felt right at home and can’t wait to come back!

Green Lake Guest Suite - 1 Block to Lake

Great spot. Easy to get in. Definitely some noise but had a white noise machine. Would be perfect with some hostel amenities - would have loved a paddle board or kayak for an hour.

Sherri responded quickly to any questions. Her place was comfortable, modern and immaculately clean. It is walking distance to Greenlake park and a perfect place to stay if someone wanted this area.

Green Lake MIL - Home Away From Home

JuliaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was a v. clean, well-equipped basement apt in a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to downtown (25 min on frequent, fast bus 1 block away). It was also 1 block from a grocery coop, very convenient, and had a good collection of dishes & cookware. Lovely Green Lake is also only 1 block away. I had an excl. stay, & would book again. However, there are 2 possible issues. The shower is in the tub & the tub sides are v. steep. This was OK for me but I would not recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. Although there are 2 grab bars for getting in, one is blocked by the toilet and leads you directly under the shower, & the other is at least 1.5 feet from where you put your foot down inside the tub. Once you are in tub/shower, there is no grab bar along the wall. The second issue is that they request no shoes in the apt, the floors are poured concrete and there are no house slippers provided. So if you have any foot, ankle, etc issues, you should bring your own house shoes.
