“I spent two wonderful months (Dec. & Jan) at Pedro’s Place trying out the Canadian snowbird thing. (Retired Canadians tend to fly somewhere warm for part of the winter.) The setting is rural but buses, Bridge Supermarket and Carter’s Bakery are within reasonable walking distance. If you cook for yourself in Pedro’s wonderful kitchen, take note that you can get free-range eggs and chicken from Dierdrie at Tinker Bell Farm, just down the road from Pedro’s. Pedro is a kind considerate host and I watched him do various courtesies for guests - he rents out more than one room. I enjoyed meeting people from around the world and with most of them taking in one or more of the many interesting sites to visit. I plan to return for another stay, hopefully sooner than later.”
A fairly large 1 bedroom apartment with combined lounge and kitchen. Shower and toilet facility within the apartment. A separate front door entrance with a small patio outside. It is 50 steps to go downhill to Maxwell Coast Road whereby there is a supermarket and bank. The enterprise beach is about 500 yards. Oistin fish market and small local restaurants are all on the Maxwell coast road less than 5 minutes from the apartment.
“Nigar and Neil are very welcoming hosts, they are giving you loads of advice and they are always in for a chat. The apartment is a good place to get into the Bajan culture and lies in a nice area. Living room (including TV, AirCon, fridge and a fully equipped kitchen), bed room and bathroom are spacious and clean. Public transport, taxis, grocery store, plenty of small local restaurants and beaches are close by. It is good value for money and worth a stay! Thank you for your hospitality!”
Quiet two-bedroom apartment in a residential neighbourhood within 5 minutes walk to the west coast beach and Royal Westmoreland Golf Course. Walking distance to restaurants and the marine park.
“We had an excellent stay at Stephanie’s apartment. It is actually the ground floor of a house, so you can look outside from every room. On your way out from the living room towards the garden, there is also a small front porch (no picture on the profile), which is really nice to have a coffee outside. The house was also really practical with kids, all equipments you need are there (microwave, big fridge etc), lots of towels and extra beach towels. From the garden you could see roosters, monkeys, birds, so for our city kids that was pretty cool. Stephanie and her family were super hosts and very helpful as we had a few questions during our stay. Also she exceeded our expectations, as she did some housekeeping and provided food for our first day (we arrived at night). Definitely a service worth 5 star hotels :) Also the Location is perfect, beaches are splendid, supermarkets and restaurants very nearby and the beach about 10-15 min walk or 2 min drive. If we travel again to Barbados, we’ll definitely stay here again!”
