“Clean, private, and sweet. We enjoyed our stay, especially eating our meals and reading and chatting out on the covered porch overlooking Shannon's colorful gardens. There was neighborly Labor Day weekend noise, but all well screened by trees full of birds, cicadas, and tree frogs, so the overall effect was very peaceful. No noise seemed to travel from the main part of the house to us, either, so a lovely, quiet stay. The one bedroom had just one double bed in it (there was some ambiguity in the listing), but Shannon gladly set us up to use one of the two sofa-beds in the living room as a second. All sleepers were comfortable. Loads of pillows and cushions. Shannon also supplied plenty of towels and some basics in the fridge (bread, eggs, juice). Everything was spotless, and the bathroom and kitchen were fully functional and equipped with all the basics you need. We would return.”
My place is close to a variety of family-friendly activities, Saratoga Springs and Troy as well as Manchester, VT, and the Battenkill River. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the people, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
“Beautiful home! Bed is very comfortable, and both bathroom and room are spacious and super clean. Scott is a great host for someone like me: he communicates well so you know what to expect and then leaves you alone to do your thing. I spent a few hours working from the room in the morning and easily felt like I had a place to myself — was not worried about disturbing anyone or being in the way of Scott or his family. I had a late arrival to the house, around 1am, and Scott was welcoming and patient. I stayed one night and really enjoyed it and would definitely seek it out again for short stays.”

“The Overview is a gorgeous spot and a magical place to stay. My husband and I enjoyed every bit of it. We took walks on the mowed meadow trails, took great pleasure in the stunning views from the campsite, and especially enjoyed the solar shower! If you are the least bit of a naturer lover you will adore how glorious and comfortable this campsite is. Absolutely charming and beautiful! Elizabeth is charming and beautiful too, now that I think on it, and a warm and gracious hostess. She and her husband, Brad, to whose family this spectacular farm and landscape has belonged for seven generations, supply the campsite with everything you may need to be happy campers. We travel with our own food, so we did not order any food baskets, but I'm sure they are fabulous and made with love. Stay here if you can! It's one of those sweet, simple, neat life experiences you won't regret. Thank you so much. We had a wonderful visit! 🌲A & R”
