Do you know the taste of a fresh butter baked Danish pastry? During this hands-on class, you will learn to bake Danish happiness (dansk hygge). A professional pastry chef with many years of experience will guide you through all the different baking techniques and tips including kneading, rolling and folding the dough with butter. We will make a selection of traditional and delicious Danish pastries (Wienerbrød). The course will have a break with coffee/tea where you can try some of your Danish pastries and exchange your cultural/baking experiences. You can bring the rest of them home to share with your family. You work in stations of 2 so if you book this alone, please be aware that you will be paired with another baking enthusiast. But this is also a great chance to meet new people. Recipes: Very detailed recipes will be sent to your email after the class, so it is important that you leave your email-address. This also means that you can concentrate on the baking part and take great pictures of your lovely pastries. Children: From 11 years old are welcome in the class if with a paying adult. • Hey Captain - Social Sailing
This is our "Hidden gems" tour where we will show our own favorite spots, which are off the beaten track from the standard path. Expect to get an introduction to areas we think are cool, local, and where you get a great a sense of what the life in Copenhagen is all about. We will either take a southern route or Northern route depending on what is going on in the harbor at your specific departure day. The harbor in Copenhagen is undergoing rapid change, from an industrial harbor to recreational space open to everyone living in the city. During the summer months it acts as the main nerve binding the city together and attracting numerous water-based activities in the process. You will see how this is folds out with Kayaks passing by and happy Danes jumping into the water. We will point out our favorite places and hidden gems, whether you are looking a place for having an afternoon beer in the sun, a relaxed morning coffee, or simply and area to relax away from it all. As we explore the upcoming areas away from the inner part of the city you will see how former industrial buildings are being transformed into new spaces and how Copenhagen is evolving as a city. Other things to note Please be ready 10 min before We have a convertible roof for our boats we use for rainy and cold days, but nevertheless dress according to the weather. • Original second hand tour of Roskilde
Are you in Roskilde to see The Viking Ship Museum and Roskilde Cathedral? Give yourself a historical break and join me for a 3-hour personal flea market tour to all of my favorite vintage places in town. Whether you’re into Danish design classics, curiosities, or a second-hand clothes bargain, I know where to go. In Denmark, we have different ways of going flea market hunting: Charity second-hand stores, flea supermarkets, traditional flea markets, and direct recycling. I will bring you to three different types, and we will visit between 3-4 spots during the tour depending on your eagerness to shop :). I will happily point out traditional Danish design classics to bring home a Danish vintage souvenir. I will pick you up in my car at Roskilde Station – unless you prefer a different pick-up spot in town. We will go in full ‘Miss Daisy style,’ and I will tell you about the city and my passion for vintage hunting. We will do a coffee break, and I will surprise you with some traditional Danish ‘hygge.’ At the end of the tour, I will drop you and your bargains in the city center and happily give you tips on the best places to eat or explore. COVID19-requirements You are required to follow any national Covid19 guidelines applicable at the current time. I'm fully vaccinated and do prefer that you are too. This is to ensure the mutual safety and the safety of other participants.

  • Bike NV up'n'coming area with architect
After a quick meet & greet, we'll get you on bikes and merge with the locals on the bike lanes and streets in Copenhagen NV and Nørrebro. They are the up and coming areas in Copenhagen, and with a number of recent urban transformations taking place, we can trace the rise (and difficulties) of welfare in the Danish society. This neighbourhood features lots of interesting new architecture, public spaces and emerging cultural and commercial activities, small creative businesses, entrepreneurs, – and of course hipsters. The area also embodies the rise of the Danish welfare society since the early 20th century, featuring many social housing schemes, cooperative industries, working class and immigration history. We’ll take short rides between many stops with explanations and discussions over buildings, spaces, places, neighbourhoods, people, culture and more. We’ll adapt the route and speed to everyone in the group as best possible. After returning we’re inviting you on a beer or drink and a chat at Åbenbar, a cool, updated version of an old school Danish pub (værtshus). Unless you are bringing your own bikes, we’ll provide high-quality bikes as well as optional helmets and bottled water to bring. Other things to note Copenhageners are not afraid of water, so in case of rain, we'll go through with the tour. I'll try as best possible to make stops out of the rain, and we might decide to take a break on a café.

  • Trace the steps of WW2 in Denmark
I will take you on a walk through the history of those five harsh years. Although Denmark had it easy compared to most of Europe, it still suffered devastating losses and hardship. You will learn about the invasion, the bombings, the official collaboration, the underground resistance, and the legendary rescue of Danish Jews. We'll travel through the conservative Frederiksberg, the artsy Vesterbro, and busy downtown districts. It will be a long stroll, but we'll stop for a rest and a refreshment along the way. Other things to note This will be quite a long walk, but we will take our time and rest when needed. If you are arriving on a bike, please note that the meet-up location and ending point will be almost three kilometers apart.
