“Lovely place surrounded by greenery, very nice and well-kept apartment, spotlessly clean, in the morning when we opened the front door we also spotted deer jumping around in the meadows between a light fog and a very fine air, a magical place! Incredible hospitality and kindness, we stopped to eat something for dinner at their inn which is located a few hundred meters from the apartment, since we arrived late in the evening and very tired, and it will have been due to hunger but the food was a fantastic thing, we can only leave a review more than positive and recommend this place to anyone who is passing by even for a night like us! Thanks!”
Un nido d'amore in campagna.
“This is a great place to get away from it all. If you are dependent on WiFi then forget it, but otherwise detox from technology and enjoy the gorgeous scenery and natural beauty of the place. The house is very charming and Lucia is a wonderful host, (with very friendly and helpful neighbours as well). It has everything you need and is clean and smartly appointed. You can watch the fireflies at night and fall asleep listening to the crickets and owls. There are a couple of great restaurants a short drive away. You will need a car to get about but are well placed to visit the towns of the Trebbia Valley. Ponte dell’Olio is a drive down the hill with lots of little bars for coffee and vino frizzante. Thank you Lucia, we had a lovely time x”

“We had a wonderful late autumn week in this house with three children who were enthralled by the huge garden with stream in the woods at the bottom, table tennis and especially the hammocks. Weather was still warm and we were able to eat outside almost every meal. We are cooks and this is a cook’s kitchen... very well equipped and clearly well-used. There is a cupboard full of dvds, plenty of games and even a few toys. So really a kids paradise which makes weaning them off their devices surprisingly easy. We didn’t miss WiFi either! When we did manage to drag them away, there’s a very good small supermarket in Rustigazzo 10 minutes walk through autumn woods down the almost deserted lane. Views across the valley and northward to the Alps 100km away are spectacular. Particularly recommend Castell’Arquato as a hill town to visit (some bigger shops and a market here too), the pizza Perla in Lugagnano and the peaceful Roman ruins at Vellaia. As described though it’s a quiet country house in beautiful but fairly remote hill country. Parma is the nearest large town. The house is not smart but very well equipped. Perfect for families and no need to be too anxious about muddy feet. We lit a log fire every evening and drank rather a lot of of the local frizzante red wine. Heaven”
