Smoking-friendly vacation rentals in Guimaraes

Despite our late arrival and self check-in thanks to Mr. Tozé's directions, he still bothered to write us a message to make sure that we had arrived safely. He had left us nice little touches in the fridge, much appreciated after a long drive. He was attentive to our needs during the stay. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable, well soundproofed, safe and convenient for a family of 4. The tour of Porto is very good on foot or by metro from the apartment. Easy street parking nearby.

We had a lovely time in Porto thanks to Vivian and Gabriel! The location a few minutes from the metro meant we could be in the center or the river in 15 min. Vivian and Gabriel were very responsive and friendly, and there were no issues with check-in or check-out. There were spare sheets, towels, maps and information about Porto + essentials in terms of cutlery, soap, etc. - we felt very welcome :) We unfortunately couldn't take advantage of the terrace as much as we would have liked given the weather, but that's a major pro of this place. We also liked having a washing machine for laundry, the big double bed and plenty of closet space for 2. There were a few small things less ideal, in particular the sofa is fairly small and we did not find it comfy, it was not really possible for the 2 of us to chill comfortably on it. Overall we had a lovely time and warmly recommend Vivian and Gabriel :)

Fantastic, modern and very clean apartment in the heart of historical part of Porto. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this central and yet quiet location. Andre and Patricio are amazing hosts. They send us the best recommendations for transport, restaurants, shops and things to do few days before the trip so we were prepared for our holidays and made most of it. Both beds were very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The flexibility of the check in and check out was so kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends. The apartment is on the top floor and there is no lift but we didn’t have any issues going up and down. There is a small spar shop for essentials nearby which was very handy. We had a small electrical issue but Patricio helped us immediately and it was quickly resolved. We had a lovely holiday, thank you!

We are absolutely impressed with the warmth and hospitality of Jorge and Susana! We stayed for 2 weeks and felt completely comfortable! It was spotlessly clean and cozy furnished and lovingly decorated. The bed was so comfy! Jorge and Susana were always available and even left us a few treats on arrival and during the stay. It was also great that we had a separate in the courtyard completely to ourselves. For our two dogs totally great, as they could lie in the sun all day when we were working without having to be afraid that they could run away. In 5 minutes you can walk directly to the huge sandy beach. It was fantastic and we also quickly took the neighbors to heart. Sincere thanks for the great time! We will be back!

A very quiet, rustic and rural setting. Sooooooo peaceful. Fantastic place to escape the city, get some rest and reconnect with nature. The outdoor, wood-heated bath was great, although it did seem a little decadent for just one person. Ideal for a couple. There is a river and Diogo (who is very friendly and very helpful) said he has a canoe. Although it was still quite cool in the mornings (early April), there is a wood-burner and an AC unit that also heats. The driveway is do-able but more for adventurous drivers. The village (Macieira da Maia) is very authentic and it is only about 10-15 min to the beach. Vila do Conde has a beautiful old-town. Many great beaches along the coast. Braga is only about 40 min, Oporto, about 20-30 min by car.

Manuel and Christine are very welcoming, generous, available and offer good advice. Ideal house for 8 people with one bathroom and toilet per room. Very pleasant exterior and ideal location (20 minutes from Porto.)

Loved it. Beatiful and very private, great pool, lots of space for dog to run around. Got everything we wanted from the stay and hope to come back.

Manuel and Rosaria are adorable and very considerate people, who anticipate the possible needs of the tenants of the cottage. It was very easy for us to communicate with them despite the language barrier. Upon arrival, we were able to taste Portuguese specialties. The cottage is very well equipped, very clean and very well located for visiting the north of Portugal. The property is beautiful, with different spaces, garden, pool, vineyards and animals. I would highly recommend this rental. Thank you very much to Manuel and Rosaria for hosting us.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Miguel was fantastic with communication from start to finish, always prompt and helpful with any questions we had. The accommodation itself was beyond our expectations – it truly felt like a home away from home, with everything we could possibly need. The amenities were perfect for a family getaway. Our children had endless fun with access to the spacious garden, beautiful pool, the serene lake, and even paddleboards – we couldn’t have asked for more to keep them entertained! The location was ideal as well. It’s tucked away in a peaceful, quiet area that made it easy to relax and unwind. We left feeling recharged and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect escape!

It's really impossible to describe how amazing it is to be in this place. The house is impeccable, the view is breathtaking, the village is quiet, feeling of peace! Wake up with the view of any of the 3 bedrooms is a privilege, the kitchen overlooking the mountains gives us a gigantic comfort, the house seems to hug you. Paula is very friendly and helpful, the way to the village is a little difficult, but it made it easy. Thank you for staying, Paula, your home warmed our hearts!

The apartment was great, very clean and with everything you need. The location is very good, the pool is great and it's very convenient to have the sea so close. The residential complex is quiet and very family-friendly, ideal for children. We were delighted. Inma, thank you for everything and for your kindness.

Great communication, great, easy stay

Clean accommodation. The place is not such a highlight but ok for a stopover. In fact, you can eat fish very well and at fair prices. Opposite the apartment there is a small shop with very tasty sandwiches.

We were welcomed very well upon arrival, the accommodation is well arranged and everything you need is on site in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The apartment is less than 10 minutes walk from the ocean as well as a quarter of an hour from shops. We had a lovely stay in Esposende.

Perfect Apartment, I even got attached to rsrs It has everything a person needs to feel at home, as well as clean, plenty of cleaning products. She thinks in every detail, amazing. I thought of a delicacy, which in the manual book it emphasizes that all it has in the apartment is for the guest to have fun. Well done, I only give 5 stars because it's not 10.

Hello André, Thank you for everything. The apartment is very good, it has a very spacious terrace, although the views are not very good you can only see four rolls. Very good detail to leave all apps and games installed on TV, they were very helpful!. another detail to note are the good local buns and desserts, very rich. On the other hand there was no good night or daytime environment, whom I want to cheat (well some Darth Vader out there). Another thing to improve is the modernization of the front door. Overall, chilling, chilling in the miling.
