Welcome to Chalet Haliburton — a one-of-a-kind, custom-built A-frame retreat tucked away in the forest just minutes from Haliburton Village. Designed for guests who appreciate craftsmanship, design, and quiet connection to nature, this brand-new chalet blends modern comfort with thoughtful, hand-crafted details throughout.
Built from the ground up by the owner, every element of the home has been carefully considered — from the custom staircases and doors to the architectural lines and finishes. The interior was curated by a local interior designer, resulting in a warm, elevated space that feels both refined and inviting.
The main living area is the heart of the home, featuring soaring 30-foot ceilings, a stunning gas fireplace, and expansive windows that frame the surrounding forest. The living room offers comfortable seating for up to six guests, making it the perfect space for cozy evenings, board games, or movie nights on the Samsung Smart TV with sound system.
Just off the living space, the chef-ready kitchen is fully equipped with brand-new appliances, including a large refrigerator, cooktop, oven, and microwave. Designed for both everyday meals and elevated cooking, the kitchen is stocked with essentials such as spices, oil, balsamic vinegar, and coffee. We also provide a Nespresso Vertuo machine with six starter pods to get your mornings started with ease.
The entryway welcomes you into the chalet with plenty of room to settle in, store gear, and get cozy. Firewood is provided for your stay (we recommend bringing extra firewood during the summer months).
Upstairs, you’ll find the primary suite — a serene retreat featuring a queen-size bed, a private three-piece ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a small balcony overlooking the forest, perfect for morning coffee or a quiet moment surrounded by nature.
The lower level offers two additional bedrooms, both with queen beds and sliding glass doors leading directly outside, allowing for easy access to the outdoors and fresh forest air. This level also includes a second full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Step outside to enjoy the private outdoor amenities, including a hot tub, sauna, and a beautiful firepit area with seating for six — ideal for evenings spent under the stars, sharing stories, and unwinding in the quiet of the woods. After a sauna session or soak, cozy robes are provided for added comfort. While the chalet is set within a peaceful forested setting, nearby lakes, beaches, and outdoor adventure spots offer easy access to swimming, boating, and exploring year-round.
Whether you’re visiting for a winter getaway, a cozy fall retreat, or a summer escape, Chalet Haliburton offers a rare blend of custom craftsmanship, modern luxury, and peaceful forest surroundings.

Other things to note
Our space is located in the woods and we do treat and maintain the exterior to keep out pests including insects and mice, this is a reality of being surrounded by beautiful Mother Nature. Should this be of concern to you our space may not be the best fit. Animals you may see during your stay include deer, black bears, groundhogs, mice, and insects.
The cottage does not have a generator. In the rare event of a power outage, please come prepared and have fun and enjoy the outdoors. Most outages in the area are resolved quickly, and during the winter months, you can use the gas fireplace to keep the home warm until power is restored.
For the winter, the driveway is ploughed by a local neighbour. We strongly recommend winter tires and an SUV vehicle for safe travel. Access to the cottage is a bit hilly so please come prepared. We also provide shovels and salt for winter use. Please note that we are unable to offer refunds due to weather, power outages or vehicle preparedness.
Please list all guests when booking, including adults & children. We will cancel your booking should you be over occupancy. We do not allow day visitors. We have a licence and we have to be fair to us and our neighbours.
Noise & Fire Bylaws: Please note that you must abide by the noise regulations of Dysart et Al & the fire bylaws (which can vary seasonally due to heat & dryness).
