Tucked away in nature yet close to all that Niagara has to offer, it's a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the luxury of having nowhere else you need to be.
Spend your days exploring Niagara, then return to your own secluded retreat. Listen to the birds, watch the fireflies appear at dusk, curl up by the fireplace, relax in the hammock, or gather around your private fire pit beneath the stars.

There is no television and no air conditioning. Instead, you'll find forest-filtered light, screened windows, a ceiling fan, a propane fireplace, and the opportunity to experience something increasingly rare: a few days where the outside world can wait.
Whether you're celebrating something special, exploring Niagara, or simply craving time away together, Boar's Hollow is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and leave feeling refreshed.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire cabin, private porch, fire pit area, and BBQ. The cabin sits at the end of its own long driveway, surrounded by forest, so you'll enjoy complete privacy with no shared spaces and no neighbours.
Free parking is located right beside the cabin. A short, well-maintained forest path connects the parking area to the front porch.
A Comfortable Off-Grid Experience
Boar's Hollow is a genuine off-grid retreat, thoughtfully designed to offer the comforts you expect from a modern getaway while allowing you to truly disconnect.
The cabin operates independently from public utilities, using a combination of battery power, propane, and a septic system. You'll still enjoy hot running water, a hot shower, a fully equipped bathroom, a comfortable heated interior, a propane fireplace, and the conveniences you need for a relaxing stay.
A Note About Summer
Boar's Hollow does not have air conditioning. The cabin is nestled beneath the natural shade of the forest and is equipped with screened windows and a ceiling fan to encourage airflow and help keep the space comfortable.
Summer temperatures can vary with the weather, and we want guests to be aware of this before booking. If you are looking for a property with air conditioning, Boar's Hollow may not be the right fit. Boar's Hollow is a genuine off-grid retreat, thoughtfully designed to offer modern comforts while giving you the opportunity to truly disconnect.
Power: Electricity is supplied by a battery system, providing lights and standard outlets throughout the cabin. We simply ask guests to be mindful of energy use, so hair dryers, curling irons, and other high-wattage appliances aren't suitable for the cabin.
Air conditioning: The cabin does not have air conditioning. It is nestled beneath the natural shade of the forest and has screened windows and a ceiling fan to encourage airflow during warmer weather.
Water & plumbing: The cabin has fully functioning running water and plumbing, supplied by a private cistern and septic system.
Hot water: Enjoy hot showers with our on-demand propane water heater.
Heating: The cabin is heated by a propane fireplace, providing a warm and cozy retreat throughout the colder months.
Our resident pups: Pipa and Lucy, our very friendly dogs, live on the property and may stop by to say hello during your stay. They do not enter the cabin. If you'd prefer not to have a furry visitor, just let us know and we'll do our best to keep them away from your space.
Cell service: Cell reception can be limited depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is not provided, so Boar's Hollow is best suited to guests who are comfortable stepping away from constant connectivity.
