Whether you come solo, with a friend, or as a couple, this cozy forest getaway invites you to slow down, breathe deep, and leave feeling grounded and renewed.
The space
Boar's Hollow is a private off-grid cabin that is nestled in the forest of Brick & Boar Farm.
Located in the heart of Niagara and all it has to offer, Boar’s Hollow cabin is a quiet retreat where guests can enjoy the rhythms of nature and reconnect with themselves and the world around them. From the song of the birds to the chorus of crickets at dusk, the forest hums with life, restoring focus and gently calming the soul.

- Queen bed in loft
- Propane fireplace
- Full indoor bathroom with hot shower
- Kitchenette (propane stovetop, mini-fridge, Keurig, kettle, pots/pans, dishes)
- Dining table for two
- Board games, books, binoculars, and a Bluetooth speaker

- Firepit with chairs (1 bundle of firewood included. Additional firewood available.)

mind and reconnect you with the quiet of the woods.
Guest access
Guests have exclusive use of the entire cabin, porch, firepit area, and BBQ. The cabin sits at the end of its own long driveway, so you’ll enjoy complete privacy — no shared spaces and no visible neighbours.
Free parking is right beside the cabin. A short, well-maintained forest path connects the parking spot to the front porch.
An Off-Grid Experience with the convenience of modern luxuries:
* Our cabin is not connected to publicly-managed utilities. However, the cabin is equipped with various other methods of power and plumbing services, including a battery bank, propane tank, and septic system.
* As a fully off-grid retreat, maintaining a consistently warm and inviting atmosphere through winter requires enhanced propane and energy resources. Your rate supports these elevated seasonal provisions, ensuring you enjoy a perfectly heated cabin, hot showers, and the soft glow of a cozy fireplace.
Other things to note
This is a genuine off-grid experience with modern comforts:
- Power comes from a battery system; you’ll have lights and outlets -- everything works seamlessly, but we do ask guests to be mindful of energy use (no hair dryers, curling irons, or high-wattage appliances, please).
- Water and plumbing are fully functional via our cistern and septic system.
- Hot water available through an on-demand propane water heater.
- Heat is provided by the propane fireplace; the cabin stays toasty even in deep winter. Your winter rate reflects the higher propane usage needed to keep everything perfectly warm and cozy from November–April.
- Our very friendly dog, Pipa, lives on the property and may come say hello during your stay. She will not enter the cabin, and if she is a nuisance, please send us a message.
- Cell service is spotty, depending on your carrier — most guests love the forced unplugging!
- The cabin is designed for 2 adults only (no children, no pets, no additional guests).
- Check-in is contactless with a keypad; we live nearby and are available if anything comes up.
