“As a family with two small children (5 and 2 years old) we had four nice days in the cozy apartment of Anita and Hein. The two are extremely hospitable and take care of the well-being of their guests, so we got good tips for trips to the surrounding area on a rainy day. The location of the apartment is absolutely ideal for child-friendly excursions on the Garden Route. We particularly liked Birds of Eden, the Jukani Wildlife Center, the beach walk to Arch Rock and the breathtaking hike in the Robberg Nature Reserve. Everything can be achieved in a maximum of twenty to thirty minutes. The restaurants and farm stalls for all meals in the area are great and Anita and Hein give you very good tips, especially which places the children will like. The apartment is equipped with everything you need (oven, hob, microwave, fridge, grill) and basic things like salt, pepper, shower gel, etc. are provided. The two bedrooms are next to each other, so that one bedroom is a through room. It's great for families. Not so great for couples traveling together on a multi-day stay. The children had a lot of fun with the beach toys and other toys in the apartment. They found the “banana bird”, which visited us regularly to eat small pieces of banana, particularly funny.”
There are alot of tourist attractions in the area including monkey land, birds of eden, Africanyon, the Elephant Sanctuary, Tenikwa wildlife, Bungy Jumping. Wine farms include Bramon wines, Kay and Monty wines, Redford wines. Just down the road is Natures Valleys famous otter trail and Salt river hike which starts from Adventurers Escape as seen in our images. There is also Pepper Mill restaurant where Nic serves delicious food and pizzas, Bread and Brew coffee shop & Natures way Farm stall.
“This is absolutely the best accomodation I found in South Africa. The location was really cool in the middle of the nature, inside a private reserve and really close to some animals sanctuaries. Keegan is extremely friendly and he helped us immediately when we had issues (for example when we couldn't find the accomodation as it's a bit hidden). That's the perfect place to relax a bit in the nature, it's really comfortable and cozy, it has everything you need for a pleasant stay and I loved the natural products that were there (like the body wash, body lotion etc.). Unfortunately we only stayed there one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time I would choose it again for sure”
Unique Farmstay in an old Elephant RESECUE Trailer that was converted into a Tiny House, set on a dam, with stunning "kuier" facilities.
“Outstanding hospitality! If you are viewing this place, just book it! The best place that we have stayed at on Airbnb. We took our 21 month old son with. He was able to run around and be as noisy as he wanted. We were able to see the Elephants from the deck, Egyptian geese in the pond. When it was the lil ones bedtime we were able to light a fire and sit in the hot tub and have alone time while still being able to keep an ear out to make sure our lil one was sleeping. At night the stars were so bright. We cannot wait to book again. The most relaxing time!”
