Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano Town, which is blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, and there are many natural places such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi nearby. You can freely use the comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, the natural garden that creates seasonal views, and the forest where the stream flows.In the forest that we have been maintaining, you can see birds, squirrels, and raccoons, and you can enjoy strolling around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We also paid close attention to the interior design and kitchen utensils to make sure you can enjoy "living". At the gazebo by the stream, you can enjoy BBQs and campfires without worrying about the weather. It is ideal as a base for hiking, fishing, paddleboarding, and golf in the green season, and as a base for winter sports in the snow season. It is a quiet, small, cozy guest house. The deck is spacious enough for about 6 people to have a barbecue, etc. Please note that it may feel a little cramped for 4 adults. Since it is a mountain forest, there are insects, but we carefully control insects in the guest house. Please understand if they enter during your stay. If you are not good with insects, etc., I think you will have a little resistance, so please book with that in mind. In winter, it gets below freezing around here. Please note that the heating facilities in this guest house are mainly kerosene stoves and kerosene fan heaters. We also have electric appliances, but if you use too much, the safety device will work (smart meter) and the electricity in the house will flash, so please do not use a lot of electric appliances at once. An earth leakage meter is also installed. If the electricity flashes, please reduce the use of electricity.(Also, please contact us about rural living experiences, etc. We do our best to disinfect and clean after guests leave to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. This is a stylish inn that is a renovated old house in the heart of Mt. Iizuna. There are a few houses nearby, but it is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Outside the window is a beautiful world of the four seasons. This rental is limited to one group per day. Spend time with your family and friends. It is also close to sightseeing spots such as Togakushi Shrine, and is a great base for sightseeing. Forest Village, located in Daiza Hosshoike, about 10 minutes by car, has a zipline and field athletics. There is also a horse riding club nearby, where you can enjoy horse riding. Adjacent to the inn is the owner-operated farm "Mamayu Farm Togakushi", where you can experience harvesting. Making jam with rhubarb, stuffing your mouth with blueberries, roasting corn and sweet potatoes over a campfire, and so on, there is no shortage of fun memories. Renovated to be open, modern and spacious our chalet is only 20 minutes drive from Nagano City, Togakushi and Iizuna ski resorts. It is less than 5 minutes walk (or 1 min drive) to some cafes and restaurants and the new Nagano Forest Village. There, you can buy local produce, craft beers & wine, and walk around the beautiful area. We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter. We are 1080m above sea level, its cool in summer!
