“My husband and I spent two nights here with our dog, and had a amazing time. Derek was a great host. He responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to our needs. He helped bring our things to and from the treehouse, provided scrap wood for our fire, and even provided us extra blankets when we forgot our own. The craftsmanship of the treehouse was breathtaking, and the king size bed was perfect for the 3 of us. The location of the treehouse was also perfect, we loved the view of the breaver pond and being able to hear the tadpoles, and water stream. Added bonus was the heated outdoor shower, homemade cookies waiting for us upon arrival, and stumbling across moss glen falls (approx. a 10 minute car ride from location). We would highly recommend this place.”

“We had the most wonderful time at the cabin! Mark and Catie are fantastic hosts who gave us really great directions for finding them, which we did easily. The location is incredibly peaceful, and we loved seeing the chickens outside the cabin! The cabin is so cosy and sparkling clean, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had all the facilities we needed to cook a lovely dinner. The fireplace made the cabin very warm and relaxing too. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast, and the maple syrup left in the kitchen for us was delicious. I couldn’t rate our stay more highly - I would return in a heartbeat!”
Off-grid, timber-framed land treehouse, perched above the creek in the woods, on a flower farm in the most beautiful place in the world. The frame was originally built as a treehouse on a friend's property in New York. We deconstructed and relocated it to Stitchdown in the spring of 2018, where it is not in a tree, but perched on an embankment above the stream, so it feels like you're in a treehouse. It's 100% awesome.
“The Land Treehouse is set in a magical spot and the flowers were in full glory when we arrived. If you want to get away even for one night, this is a great option. Access to the house is up a ladder, not a high one but enough of one to make midnight visits to the privy an adventure.”
