Our multi award winning Shepherd's Hut is tucked away in the South Somerset village of Haselbury Plucknett. The decor is inspired by a 1940's land girl called Esme. The Hut is located on the Parrett and Liberty Trails and so perfect for walkers. Within a few hundred metres is a fab foodie pub (currently offering takeaway). The Jurrassic Coast is a half an hour drive away and we are surrounded by many picturesque vilages. Our Glamping experience is perfect escape from the COVID 19 outbreak.
“We had the most wonderful time staying at Esme’s Escape and celebrating our anniversary. Karen was there to greet us on arrival and point out how to operate the hot tub and other amenities. She was so friendly and welcoming, and the hut was beautifully furnished. We used the hot tub on both evenings of our stay and found that we only needed to use an additional bag of logs (in addition to the two bags included with the use of the hot tub). The hut has the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. We especially enjoyed using the log burner to warm up after our costal walks! We could not recommend staying here enough and will definitely be returning. A huge thank you to Karen and Simon for their hospitality and local tips!”

“Myself and my husband stayed for two nights at Idlers Cottage and it was AMAZING. The cottage is beautifully cosy, fit for purpose and has a lot of extras. The cottage was spotless and there was lots to do including tv, wireless, WiFi for our internet, movies and playing cards. Charles himself was an excellent host, giving prompt responses and was very flexible regarding check in. We are considering coming again so we that we can explore more in better weather. We would definitely want to stay here again. 5 stars”

“Thanks for having us while we didn't have a place to stay during the corona lockdown. The house was clean and the hosts really thought of everything you could need. It's last in a row of townhouses, with southward facing windows. Nice comfortable couch in the living/dining room. Powerful induction stove. All the beauty of Somerset, Dorset and Devon on the doorstep.”
