Get away from it all on a private 10-acre farm just minutes outside the quintessential Vermont town of Wilmington. Enjoy the cabin life with a stone fireplace, 750 sq ft wrap-around deck and breathtaking views. This cozy house beckons you to read a book by the fire or snooze in the loft overlooking the reservoir. A quick 20 min drive up to Mt Snow means you can enjoy all the area has to offer and still escape to your private cabin at the end of the day. The Wilm has it all!
“Dream life! The Wilm is the most incredible getaway. Coming from Brooklyn, my husband and I and our hound dog were looking for some space with ample opportunity for outdoor - and indoor- quality time. This was our dream come true. The house is set back a long beautiful driveway in its own little magical land. The space is setup so we felt comfortable with our dogo being outside for moments when we might be working on other projects, without fear he would go to the road. The house is set next to a small pond where the frogs float on the water and make the best sounds. Next to a tiny bridge that is fun to cross and beside the stunning trees and rocks that line the dynamic forest landscape. The space that separates you and the road is filled by stunning horse barns, paddocks and a perfect long white fence. I have never written a review like this! It is getting a bit ridiculous, but its true! I almost dont want to say it in fear it will never be available again : ) The indoor spaces is cozy with the best fireplace and floor to vault-ceiling windows looking out onto the amazing season changes. The kitchen has everything you need and more (even a pizza cutter and pizza stone!). Towels and linens and blankets are lovely and it is super clean. Next to the house is a large grass field that is level and well kept, which can be fun for outdoor games. It can also be a grass basketball court. Bring your basketball. There is a plethora of things to do nearby, including walking down the road to Ward's Beach. A really nice hike around a reservoir with a secret nude sunbathing corner! There are tons of great hikes nearby, skiing, horse riding etc. The nearby tiny town is 5 minutes from the house, it is super cute with some great history, old mining houses... and there is a larger (Shaw's) grocery store that has everything you need including firewood. Also 5 minutes from the house, a Wallgreens, post office. And a lovely drive to nearby towns is worth it. Again, beautiful old history everywhere along the babbling brooks and roadside rapids. Can't say enough how magical this place is.”
I personally built this stunning handcrafted log cabin back in 1998. It features over 500' of frontage on beautiful, peaceful Sadawga Lake, in the Town of Whitingham, set on eight acres at the end of a half mile long dirt road. Two sided covered porch with gas grille and table with chairs and air swing to relax and enjoy the lake views.
“Very private and well appointed log cabin home right on a beautiful lake! Bob was a great host. The boys fished off the dock while we enjoyed wine and s’mores at the fire pit. The deck is stunning for morning coffee. We’re already planning on coming back for the fall foliage! Wish we could have stayed another night!”
Beautifully renovated bright, 120year old home in town. House thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each stay. Touchless flushing toilets. Minutes to MT Snow. Easy walk to town for food and shopping. Deerfield river directly across the street. 2 min from the lake. Valley hiking trails within sight. Fire pit out back.
“This is one of the most comfortable properties I've ever stayed at. Lately it seems many of the homes we book have a RING doorbell watching you come and go, labels on everything such as - "Coffee Cups" and other touches that make you feel like an intruder. Zachary's home has none of that. There was a welcome package with some nice treats. A cozy living room with big couches and even bigger TV, easily linked to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. The house is warm. 3 separate bedrooms with 2 full baths. Plenty of parking and a washer- dryer. Hooks everywhere to dry ski or other gear or clothes. Very close to the town and skiing. Only small issue is that it is on the main road, which isn't very busy, but there is some noise in the front bedroom. I slept like a baby in the back bedroom in a very cozy and comfortable bed.”
