Meadow ClareWe welcome you to our lovely Vermont home situated 3 miles from the village of Woodstock and 5 miles from South Woodstock. Built in the 1920's... this cape style farmhouse overlooks 69 acres of rolling pastures, mixed hardwood forests, an apple orchard and swimming pond. There are hiking~skiing trails right from the door ~ South Woodstock is a 1 mile walk via a class 4 road. Killington ski area is a 40 minute drive West. The village of Woodstock offers fine dining, shopping, beautiful galleries, the Woodstock Inn and the Billings Marsh Rockefeller National Park. The hamlet of South Woodstock includes a General Store~Post Office, the Kedron Valley Inn and for you horse lovers......the Green Mountain Horse Association. Meadow Clare was originally a working hill farm in the 1930’s~40’s; built by the Havill family on the site of Nathaniel Randall’s brick Federal home. The farm has been in the Martin family since 1956 and enjoyed primarily as a Summer and Winter ski vacation home. What was once our vacation get away, is now our year-round home and it is our pleasure to invite you to stay with us; we look forward to sharing this magical place with you.
