“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lovely cottage, being completely off grid and tucked away in the Magaliesberg mountains was a delight. Allan is a friendly attentive host and was helpful with anything we needed. Honestly a treat if you’re looking to spend time away from the city somewhere you can see the stars and enjoy the untouched nature. I highly recommend taking the hike and ending it off with a dip in the natural pool with the gorgeous views.”
The cottage has a comfortable lounge/dining area which looks out to the Magaliesberg mountain range. A fully equipped kitchen with electric and gas cookers plus a microwave oven and fridge/freezer ensure that all your self-catering needs are met. Two bedrooms, each with own bathroom...
“The place is on a farm type setting, so it was a little off the beaten track, which appealed to us. The chickens are cute, and my little boy loved it when Sue took him with to feed them and collect the eggs. There isn't much to do there, but rest and relax. They are close enough to Hartebeesport and Magalies, that you can pop out to do something there. There were lovely and thoughtful gestures, like a table and chair for my son (2 1/2 yr old). The peace and quiet is wonderful. Just be warned - since it's a farm stay there are bugs and spiders. The hosts are friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. I can definitely recommend this place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life!”
