If you would like your property to be a part of our global collection of luxury listings, review the Airbnb Luxe standards and requirements to understand the requirements associated with the category.
To request your existing Airbnb listing to be a part of the Luxe category, click here. If you're a new Airbnb host, create your listing first.
Note that our Luxe category review process takes place on a limited basis and during certain periods of the year; if your property is considered a potential fit for the category, we will be in touch at that time. Submitting a listing does not guarantee inclusion in the category.
Airbnb routinely reviews listings on the platform and identifies properties that may meet Luxe quality standards based on design, amenities, photos, location, and hosting track record. If your listing is a strong candidate, you'll receive an invitation for an evaluation via your Airbnb inbox. Hosts can also nominate their own listings for consideration.
Use the nomination form to submit multiple listings at the same time. If you were already invited by Airbnb for evaluation of some of your properties and want others reviewed too, submit them via the form and the Luxe team will review them.
The process can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on walkthrough scheduling and any listing details that need to be updated. If your listing is approved after a walkthrough, you can expect to receive your Luxe badge within approximately 7-10 days.
Yes. Your listing remains fully live, visible, and bookable on Airbnb throughout the entire evaluation process. Nothing changes for guests while your listing is being reviewed.
Yes. Every listing must complete an in-person walkthrough with a local Home Consultant. The walkthrough is how the Luxe team verifies that your home meets quality, design, and amenity standards in person.
The walkthroughs are conducted by Home Consultants who are independent contractors with expertise in luxury real estate and hospitality. Airbnb works with local Home Consultants to support the Luxe evaluation process.
During the visit, the Home Consultant will:
The Home Consultant does not decide whether your listing is accepted for Luxe, and cannot share evaluation results during the visit. All results are communicated via email by the Airbnb Luxe team after our review of the Home Consultant’s report.
Once your listing is confirmed for evaluation, you'll receive an email invitation with a link to the Elevate scheduling platform. From there:
The scheduling calendar shows availability for a rolling 6-week window. Walkthrough requests are valid for 3 months from the date of issue. If your request expires before you schedule, reach out to luxehosts@airbnb.com for assistance.
Contact your Home Consultant directly. Their contact details are in the Elevate platform under the 'In Progress' section for your listing. They can update the walkthrough booking and work with you to find a new date. We strongly recommend blocking your calendar as soon as a walkthrough date is confirmed to avoid conflicts.
The Luxe team will review the Home Consultant’s report and email you a decision. If your property meets Luxe standards, it will be approved for Luxe and receive the Luxe badge. If you do not wish to proceed at that point, let the Luxe team know before the badge is applied.
The Luxe badge is typically applied within 7-10 days upon acceptance.
If we determine that your existing listing photos do not meet Luxe standards, Airbnb will connect you with a professional photographer at no cost, provided your area is served. The photoshoot will be coordinated by the Luxe team and will only take place after the walkthrough has been completed.
Yes, if your existing photos are professionally taken and provide adequate coverage of your home, you may use them. The Luxe team will review your photos as part of the evaluation and let you know if a dedicated shoot is needed.
Photos from the walkthrough are for internal evaluation purposes. Photos from a Luxe professional photoshoot are uploaded directly to your listing on Airbnb and are visible on your listing page.

Airbnb Luxe is a curated collection of extraordinary, high-end homes on Airbnb, representing less than 1% of all listings globally. Every Luxe home is individually vetted to ensure it meets high standards for design, amenities, and guest experience.
No. Luxe is a distinct collection of homes within Airbnb, not a separate app, platform, or contract. You manage your Luxe listing through the same Airbnb account you already use. This means that if a listing converts to Luxe, all reviews, ratings, etc. migrate seamlessly.
Your listing will be visible in both search results. Luxe properties remain on the regular Airbnb platform and are visible to all guests. Guests can discover them in general search results or by using the Luxe filter specifically.
