How an invitation to book works

So, you’ve got some dates you’re considering and you found a place you’re interested in. You message the host and they reply with an invitation to book. Great news—this means that the place is available and the host wants to finalize the reservation.

  1. Click Messages and open the message from your host
  2. Review the details of your invitation and click Book now
  3. Click Reserve and review your payment info
  4. Click Confirm reservation

Invitation to book expires after 24 hours

Not quite ready to book? You have 24 hours to decide if you want to book for those dates and that price. Keep in mind, however, that the host may be sending other guests invitations to book the same dates. So the first guest who books secures the reservation. Also, if you wait longer than 24 hours, the guest fees may change.
