Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

Our cottage is the original dwelling in a beautiful Grade II, 14th century Medieval Longhouse. We live in the 'byre' end of the building - originally the 'cow shed' and are on hand for any help or advice - or perhaps a glass of wine... Note - Doorway beams are low and staircase is characteristically steep. Burrington is a beautiful and very quiet small hamlet 2.5 miles from Leintwardine (and the nearest shop and pubs), 5 miles from Ludlow and just a couple of miles from Mortimer Forest.

Stable is one of a five cottage barn conversion adjacent to the host's home set amidst the beautiful Shropshire Hills and border Marches; on the edge of the Downton Estate and Mortimer Forest; with walks/cycling from the doorstep - this cottage is an ideal base for exploring the local area, further afield, or simply relaxing in our courtyard.
