Our private guesthouse is suspended over the Torio River, on the west coast of the Azuero Peninsula. It is a paradise waiting for hikers, bird watchers and hikers dream. We offer numerous marked trails and a beautiful waterfall. We are walking distance to the beach and a 1/2 kilometer from restaurants, a grocery, and the main highway. Surfers are close to Morrillo Beach and Playa Reina. You can watch the sun rise over the mountains and view the ever changing river from your bed.
“My husband and I stayed for two weeks at Patricia and Bob’s cabana. It was absolutely fantastic! The view from the balcony is lush, private and like none other. It is simply beautiful. The cabana itself is pristine and very clean, a perfect size with a large balcony lovely for a climate where you want to be outdoors as much as possible. Our hosts were very helpful and generous. They have lots of information and tips for staying in the area. It’s no wonder Patricia and Bob are super hosts! We enjoyed cooking at the cabana as well as meals at the restaurants at the Torio Plaza, the trails literally steps from the cabana and quiet beaches where it’s not uncommon to see very few people. Heaven! We’re hoping that you’ll have us back again next year!”

“This is the first time I have used the Airbnb App and would like to share my experience staying at Vielka Argelis's home. A lovely lady always very polite and courteous treated me pretty much as a member of her own family she caring about her guest guides and good directions on places to visit and where to eat. Being a commemorative date in the country I was able to have the honor of seeing and knowing a little more about her folklore culture and history of Panama. His hospitality was so great that on leaving I felt like wanting but I felt as if I was with my own mother in my own home, no doubt as soon as possible I will return with more time and I will finish knowing all the provinces of the country . Thank you so much Vielka Argelis God bless you very much and a big hug until next time.”
Our home is nestled in the serenity of the Panamanian mountains. We have two guest rooms both with attached bathrooms and private entrances. Direct access from your room to the terrace and pool area. Relax with a book from our extensive library or make use of the artists studio. Take a hike to the river which borders our property, swim in the deep pools, dare to cross the suspension bridges or pan for gold. Or, head to the beach, a short, (and beautiful) drive away. Evening meal available.
“I can't say enough good things about this place. Pictures don't do the view justice honesty and my only regret is not having Annie cook every meal we ate! Lots of swimming holes, waterfalls, beaches, and mountains around if you are the adventurous type. It is also very isolated and quiet if you just want to read by the pool with a stunning view. The real pleasure of this place though was getting to know Bob and Annie. Some things to consider: they are replacing the road next year, but for now you definitely need car with good suspension to get there as the roads are rough. Wifi is spotty, but it was a getaway trip for us so I enjoyed disconnecting!”
