Torhaus in Kemel

The open studio apartment in the gatehouse is part of an extended courtyard from the 17th century. century. Old woods and exposed half-timbering are surrounded by rose bushes and a beautiful garden. When furnishing, we placed great emphasis on sustainability. Existing things were rebuilt and reworked. Most of the lights, textiles and pictures come from our studio. This gives the open architecture its special style as well as its friendly and unique character.

Haus am Wilde Aar can accommodate up to 16 people. This vacation home is part of a half-timbered farmhouse from 1880 that was completely renovated and modernized in 2015. The Köbelerhof is a paradise for nature lovers - as a former estate of the nearby Arnstein Monastery this farm is still actively managed and maintained today. Surrounded by its own fields and forests, the farm is located in the middle of the Nassau Nature Park. From the front door, you can take undisturbed walks for hours along the Dörsbach in the Jammertal or the Lahn, where you can relax at beautiful viewpoints over the valleys.

In the stable – side by side with chickens and horses

'IM HORSE STABLE' is on the ground floor of the barn of the mill estate. It used to be a stable. (Take a look at my other apartment 'barn loft' too). The room has low ceilings and small rung windows. The space is suitable for people looking for a more cave-like, cozy retreat. Due to the oven and the cold floor, the apartment is not suitable for infants. In the cold season, it may be necessary to heat up with the stove. See below.

Where you sing, settle down, evil people have no songs (Johann Gottfried Seume) Formerly an old barn, today a cozy, extraordinary guest house with lots of music in the old walls! They occupy the entire villa over 2 floors. On the high ground floor dominates the large living room, in which the old barn beams are still visible. At the same time kitchen, dining area, cozy lounge with sofas, piano, smart TV and balcony.

Sheikh House "Living in a historic barn"

More than 20 years ago we bought the Scheiche House, a detached house in the beautiful Vogelsberg volcanic region. Formerly, the farmhouse consisted of a residential house, a stable and the barn. We have both worked in tourism and long run a holiday village. When we retired, we decided it was impossible without guests! We have always dreamed of renovating the old barn of our house – and now it was the right time.
