Vacation rentals with lake access in High Peak District

Brilliant little home, clean & really comfy beds. Was a perfect location for us to attend a friend’s wedding less than 10 minutes down the road. Even the little touches of a biscuit/jam basket and a little bottle of milk so we could have a coffee as soon as we checked in. Amazing. Thanks so much Joanne, perfect get away for us.

A very nice apartment at a fantastic location. Close to shops and tram-station. Maybe a bit for the center of town, but for us it was perfect. And Jo was a very proactive and responding host.

My stay at Foxt Cottages was nothing short of spectacular! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with rolling hills and lush greenery providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing escape. The private swimming lake was a highlight, offering serene views and a refreshing dip right at our doorstep. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, making it easy to unwind. For our little one, the activities were a hit—plenty of outdoor fun to keep them entertained while we soaked in the peaceful vibe. The hosts were warm and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. If you’re looking for a tranquil retreat with stunning landscapes and family-friendly amenities, Foxt Cottages is a must-visit! We’re already planning our next stay.

Great communication. Good location with some nice eateries locally and easy access into Leeds. Dedicated parking is a bonus. We stayed with an infant for a wedding in Leeds and it was an ideal base.

We had a great stay, location was perfect for us. visited for the Manchester marathon. transport links were great and local take aways that were recommended were fab. Karl met us at check in and was very friendly. The accommodation was more than we hoped for. Lots of room for us all. The kitchen is perfect. We did spend most of our time in Manchester, however a couple of the guests took a walk to the local reservoir and enjoyed that. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

3 couples and 5 children enjoyed a fabulous 3 night stay in this wonderful home. The house is a blend of old style Yorkshire on the outside and beautiful modern living on the inside. There are 3 great master suites with en suites and a converted loft which has a further bedroom, bathroom and lounge area/tv room which was great for the kids to base themselves. The gardens are delightfully landscaped with lots of hidden gems to explore including a pond, hot tub, tree swing , bbq and fire pit areas, as well as access to local walks. The house was immaculate and every last thing had been considered for guests arriving. The host Penny was also super pro active and responsive when needed. We look forward to returning in the near future.

What a little Gem of a place.! We loved our stay here, very private with lovely views of the lake... and inquisitive chickens 😊 The lodge itself has everything you need with comfy beds and a fabulous hot tub. Anything we needed Scott was available to help. The surrounding area is gorgeous, it's a perfect base for exploring Pendle and the beautiful countryside. Thankyou so much and we hope to return. !

Fabulous place in the perfect location, easy access, privacy, loads of space. Was immaculate on arrival, lovely and warm and with everything we needed for a short break. Had our 2 dogs with us and its perfect for them.

Fabulous apartment! It beautifully blends original features with lovely furnishings, creating a stylish and comfortable space. The artwork is great and thoughtfully chosen to reflect the local area. If you love the YSP, this is the perfect place to stay. Excellent communications from Simon —clear, friendly, and prompt throughout. Highly recommended!

Fantastic cottage, great shared garden and beautiful walks by the river.

There was good communication prior to us arriving. The apartment was spotless, seems very new, everything was comfortable. Loads of space! There were four of us and it was anything but cramped. Even with double the number of people it would still feel extremely spacious. Amazing view from the balcony - we didn't go in summer but would be amazing to sit out there in the sunshine! You're quite near a main road but you don't hear it and it means you've got easy access to the towns, villages and countryside nearby. Perfect if you want to explore. If we're back in the area we'd definitely check to see if the apartment is available. Highly recommended.

Stayed at Kevin’s place for just a flying visit, it was perfect for what we needed and close too so much! It was super clean && comfy. He was a super responsive and friendly host and there’s nothing I could fault this place for. Excellent value for money and certainly would stay again if in the area.

Another great stay at John and Jane’s cottage - our third visit. Such a peaceful and beautiful spot, a great property with excellent facilities and really cosy and comfortable. Easy to get into Sheffield and great walks from the door. Love it!

Beautiful little cottage - perfect place to stay for an adventure in the Peak District! Also great for dogs with baby gates installed to keep them downstairs, it’s lovely to have these things already in place!

This is a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. John was very accommodating regarding our late arrival and the cottage was easy to find and exactly as described. The cottage is very characterful and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The garden is beautiful and very private. Thank you John, we’ve had a wonderful stay.

The cottage is a great place to stay. Quiet and comfortable and within easy reach of places to visit, walk and shop. We were very lucky with the weather and because the skies were clear were able to star-gaze which was wonderful. There's everything you need for a break away from home. As you'd expect, staying high in the hills in a rural location, the water pressure isn't great but it gets the job done. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We're hoping to stay at the cottage again to continue to explore the area.

Natalie's place is a perfect! The location is one of the kind with Carsington Water views and rolling fields in the distance. If you like the outdoors and farm life and being surrounded by beautiful scenery, this is the place to stay! We loved it there. Listening to the farm livestock hussle and nloises, being close up - is what I think made is special for us. We could walk with the dogs on a lead though their field. The cottage was great - had everything you needed, comfy and had a lovely homely feel to it. Clean & tidy place. The Hot Tub was a bonus, we didn't get the chance to walk with the Alpacas, but saw them in the distance. I'd recommend it. Thank you Natalie!

quaint charming comfortable cottage in a lovely village walking distance to pubs and restaurants and beautiful lake with boathouse converted to a tea room overlooking lake. For us carparking was the only issue we had was trying to find a safe place to park and leave the car on returning to property due to narrow lanes and trying not to obstruct pathways for pedestrians as was busy with cars already parked but it did not spoil the lovely weekend we had there. Everyone you meet were very welcoming and friendly 😊

We were really happy with our stay at Andrew’s cottage. It was immaculate inside, well kitted out with everything we needed and had lots of thoughtful touches like the coffee beans, dog bowls and local info. Andy’s instructions were great, check in was simple with a lock box, and he gave us brilliant local recommendations. The position is lovely on the canal, so tranquil but walkable to New Mills for pubs and restaurants. There are some interesting walks nearby too
