“AWESOME. Such an amazing place to stay! I had the place reserved during my wedding weekend and I couldn’t of asked for a cooler place to stay. On the first night, me and my bridesmaids were locked out when we first arrived (due to me leaving my cellphone inside and not sharing the code with anyone else. I was just overwhelmed on how amazing the place was and under a lot of stress). Fortunately, we were able to contact Cal on another girls phone through the Airbnb website and he rescued us! He’s kind and so caring, he called me to make sure we had made it okay inside. And that mistake was never made again. If you want a cozy get away in Hillsboro, THIS is the place to stay. Forget hotels!!”
Enjoy our rustic cabin on the beautiful Brazos River. Our cabin is one large room with a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa. Grain silos have been converted to awesome restroom and shower facilities. Outside area includes a covered deck as well as an open deck. Gas grill available for outdoor cooking. Large fire pit for relaxing by the fire! Full access to the river for fishing and swimming. 18 miles to Baylor Stadium and Magnolia Market at the Silo! Come enjoy the Big Rocks on the Brazos!
“I loved this place and am already planning another trip! You can comfortably sleep 4. The bed is so cozy & comfortable. If you’re staying for more than 2-3 days, you can make a grocery checklist after you arrive, town is about 25 minutes away. It’s not a full kitchen but if you love to grill, they’ve e got a nice grill outside. The water is your backyard! They have fishing poles but you have to ask for them. If you love the water, bring your stuff. I regretted not bringing more - tire, rope, a canoe! Be ready for the drive in. It’s beautiful winding country roads. We loved it. If you drive in at night - it is interesting cause we weren’t sure if we were going the right way. There are RV’s & houses nearby. Overall, extremely happy with our choice to stay here!”
Private & secluded, nestled within a quiet lakeside neighborhood is a perfect location for anyone who wishes to camp, hunt, fish, bird watch or just relax! A perfect getaway for anyone that needs a break from the hustle bustle of city life! The air conditioned cabin has a twin on top a full on the bottom, shower, refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave. Ample tent space available outside. Cabin is across the street from 4000+ acres of public access hunting grounds & Navarro Mills Lake.
“Lydia's place was a great getaway to the country. The lake is gorgeous and is just a short walk away. There is also a swim beach that is open at one of the Navarro lake day use areas (you can call them to find out what's open during the pandemic). The outdoor space is well appointed. I had everything I needed (including charcoal) to cook my meals on the grill. While the cabin is very basic, it is really authentic in terms of a "camp" style cabin, so as long as you have that mindset and plan to spend most of your time outdoors, you will be very happy to "rough it" here. I would recommend that you bring your own coffee mugs, plates as you would for a car camping experience, so you don't have to use disposable ones. Thanks Lydia for giving me the opportunity to develop an appreciation for the rural life in the Frost area of Texas. I hope to come back again!”
