Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hjørundfjorden

We decided to go away over the new year and chose Kristine and Hans place in Norway What a great choice ! Kristine and Hans where great and very accommodating and could not do enough, they kept us informed about everything all the way We had the best holiday ever, we had everything we could wish for, the northern lights and a ton of snow We were snowed in on the last day and Kristine and Hans let us stay a extra night as we could not travel They where the perfect hosts and we will be stopping here again without any hesitation Thanks you both

We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

Very nice cabin. Clean and tidy. All one needs of equipment is there. We had a great weekend.

We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon - everything from useful hiking suggestions, quick to bring us anything we needed, to a magical hotpot experience! We couldn't have asked for more out of our stay of from Venise and Gaby. The location was perfect for accessing the less known hiking spots but still with those spectacular views, as well as being close to the ferry so it was easy to hop over to Volda. It was peaceful and we loved the views over the water, and we made good use of the fireplace for cozy evenings. Don't be put off by the road near by, there is very infrequent cars so you hardly hear anything at all!

We had a lovely stay! Nice and cozy apartment. The fireplace and the sauna were great! Darius was very friendly and helpful!

Very nice cabin with good access to the ski lift. We've been here before and would love to come back!

Highly recommend Ole's house. We were there for fishing and found the best place in the world. Everything is available. You can rent a boat, there is a exception house, a super great fishing area and the host gave us valuable tips on where the fish bite particularly well. In addition, we refilled the pool twice with sea water and got the wood for heating! Ola, the host once took us on a tour with his speedboat and regularly came by to see the right. He is very helpful. If you want to experience a great fishing holiday in Norway, book it. The fjord is free from April to October. In wintertime, the fjord can freeze. We stayed in March. A few mornings we broke through the ice by boat. That was no problem.

lovely place to stay when visiting the fiords :) it is a bit far from the main road but the instructions are clear! we managed to reach there at night with almost no lights on the road. roar is a great host always willing to give advice on what to do around. 100% recommended!

Was absolutely perfect for our stay. Short distances to the activities we were going to, amazing views and place. Was welcomed when we arrived, and otherwise it was experienced as private, even though the apartment is in the same house as the host family. Very comfortable with plenty of space, own kitchen and possibility to bring a dog. 😊

Great host who allowed us to stay even if it was outside of sessong and on very short notice. Incredibly great place! To get up in the morning to see the nice view was absolutely magical. Nice hiking areas for us with a dog. Perfect location! We had lovely trips to Loen, Olden, Lodalen, Geiranger ++ Briksdalsbreen was amazing to just an hour drive away from the cabin!!

We loved our stay in Loen. Rueben’s place was cozy, neat, clean and as pictured on Airbnb. All of the bedrooms were spacious and the beds were quite comfortable. The communication was easy and all of the directions were very accurate. The location was perfect for all of the areas popular activities and getting to and from visits to surrounding towns. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Loen.

the cabin is in a fantastic location and has the necessary amenities. From the cabin you can easily explore the area in all directions with which you can easily explore the area, but also the view from the cabin itself is phenomenal (in clear weather).

This lovely place was our home for almost a month. The location is central and the house very cozy. The mountains are your backyard and the sea right in front of you. We made several trips to the surrounding area, including freeskiing in the mountains, surfing in Hoddevik, Runde puffin island, city visit to Ålesund and hikes in the area. There are several rental saunas in the area, the nearest one is 5 minutes away. The house is well equipped. The hosts Anne-Mari and Terje are very helpful. Sometimes there was bass from the road from the youth's cars, but it didn't bother us too much. Would love to go back again!

We had an amazing stay at an amazing Norwegian farmhouse with hiking nearby and floating saunas on the fjord in Sæbo. Very central to take ferries wherever you want to go. We highly recommend staying here!

Everything is beautiful

The location is amazing, I do not think I have stayed anywhere with such natural beauty and being right on the water was fantastic. The accommodation is everything we needed and I cannot recommend it enough!

It was quiet and well-equipped with everything, so I was able to stay comfortably. We will use it again next time.

We really enjoyed the town of Andalnes and the beautiful landscapes in this area! This house was in a perfect location right on the Romsdalfjorden and we could see the town right across the water. There was a nice patio which was perfect for watching the sunset and the beautiful scenery! It was also conveniently located for great hikes and the Romsdal skylift. Thanks for sharing your great house!

Helge's place been full of everything what we needed for our daily routine. Location and house - spot on, parking - easy fits more than two cars. Owner is super easy to get in touch with. 100% recommend for others who will look for place to stay in STRYN !!!!!

Beautiful surroundings, despite gray, rainy weather. The many windows in the house allowed a view in all directions, it was warm and cozy. And the glacier right outside the window...

We had a lovely stay at Sverre, Ruth & Geirs Cabin. The location is great and the views are really wonderful. Inside you find everything that you need from kitchen utensils to a pool table and skis. It is so cozy in the chairs, with the fireplace on and it’s snowing outside. We would recommend and come back again anytime. Thank you for the perfect trip!
