Nostalgic prefabricated motel unit built in the 1960's. Completely remodeled 2019, located on wooded lot gently sloping to Lake Tuscaloosa.
“Ken’s Whispering Waters cabin is the perfect retreat. My partner and I needed a change of scenery after 3 months of no travel - this was the perfect spot & just an hour from Birmingham where we live. The cabin is tucked in the trees, a short walk from the lake. The space is super efficient & cozy — but, let’s be real, you’re here for the lake and it is MAGNIFICENT!! Ken’s place is tucked in a quiet cove with its own dock - the water is clear & glassy & oh-so-perfect for just relaxing. We brought our own SUP but Ken also had noodles available and maybe some canoes (ask first!) — we loved paddling around the lake, floating in the water and just existing as the sun set. It was super quiet when we were there (the Wednesday after Memorial Day) but I imagine it’s pretty quiet all the time!”
Cozy tiny house, nestled on the bluff of the Black Warrior River
“The pictures don’t even do this little oasis justice. This cabin on the river makes the perfect escape from the busy life. It is so cozy and accommodating, having everything you need for a getaway trip. It is clean and welcoming, with the cutest and most unique decorations. The best part is hands down the spacious porch that overlooks the river, making the perfect setting for sunrise and sunset hangouts. We spent most of our time on the porch because the view is just that breathtaking! This place is just minutes from a boat launch on the beautiful Black Warrior River and a short drive from the downtown scene of Tuscaloosa. The owners are so kind and helpful, we are so thankful they built this quaint little spot for visitors like us to enjoy. We cannot wait to be back! -Erica & Brandon”

“Nice cozy home. Bryan was quick to respond to all messages and was a wonderful host! Check-in instructions were clear, and my Airbnb experience with Bryan was flawless. This home is perfect if you’re traveling for work, wonderful office space with huge desk and chair, great location. Also great for families, fenced in back yard, nice screened in back porch, grill, table on back porch for picnics, alarm system, and ample amenities that made us feel safe and right at home! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention....the fresh flowers waiting on us, along with a snack basket, Clorox wipes, and hand sanitizer! Thanks for everything Bryan!”
