Neighbourhood highlights

Trastevere is the most popular district and one of the most characteristic of the city. The people of Trastevere consider themselves the most “authentic” among Romans. The urban and social texture has remained the same throughout the years; entering Trastevere from the Tiberina Island you will notice narrow labyrinth-like streets, ancient buildings, “pittoresque” corners, medieval towers and houses, renaissance cloisters and some of the most beautiful medieval churches of Rome.
Trastevere is a very lively and dynamic Rione of Rome; many artisan shops and art galleries are open until late at night. Romans themselves go to the numerous clubs and restaurants of Trastevere which are suitable for all tastes and pockets. Every Sunday morning, near Viale Trastevere, the famous “Porta – Portese” flee-market takes. If you happen to visit this market remember that bargaining on the price is mandatory!

My work: B&B Ventisei Scalini a Trastevere
Speaks English, Italian and Spanish
Hi, I'm Lucia, I traveled a lot especially in the east where I learned two fundamental things in life: being patient and taking life as it comes and exchanging a smile with those who approach you. I'm very attentive to environmental issues and try to pollute as little as possible. I like to cook and modestly I'm pretty good! I'm not the type of person who works behind a desk, and fortunately I've always been able to do jobs that I liked. I recently embarked on a new adventure: I opened my bed and breakfast in Rome, a city I love and hope to share with you! See you soon!
