Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Houten

Very quiet place to stay for a couple of nights. It was in a lovely location on the edge of the park by the deer, chickens and peacocks, and there were a couple of places to eat or get a drink nearby that the owners had named in the handbook. To walk to the old town took about 25 mins to walk and 15 to the train station. We were travelling with an infant and my daughter loved playing with the Lego they left out for her.

This was a perfect place to stay for our three weeks in Utrecht. Jochem’s place is bright and spacious, a lovely place to be and right in the heart of the city. We loved being able to walk the few minutes to the canal, shops, cafes, and restaurants. Jochem himself is a fabulous host - so welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated how he went out of his way to make our time there comfortable.

Biljana's place was great to stay at and great for families. The neighbourhood is quiet, serene and with at least 3 playgrounds in walking distance of the house, we had a lot to do for our toddler in the quietmoments in between trips. Parking is free and spaces are abundant. She provides lots of toys for little ones and provided a travel cot for our 2 year old that was not yet used to sleeping on a bed. The place is well kept, clean and a treat. The air conditioning was great for the hottest days. Access to the house is best in class. Would happily stay here again. Thanks for letting us share your home for those days!

It was very nice and comfortable for a family with young children, we really enjoyed the toys and the parents enjoyed the coffee, the decor, the order and the cleanliness :)

We had a wonderful weeklong stay at Maarten and Moon’s place. Their house is beautiful and event nicer in person than in the photos with a fully stocked, high spec kitchen, multiple hang out areas, and a lovely backyard. The neighborhood is amazingly vibrant and friendly with lots of young families and community events. Tons of great food options within walking distance and it’s a short distance from the city center. One of the best Airbnbs we’ve experienced.

We had a lovely week at Mark’s place. It’s such a beautiful house full of character and Mynki is the cutest cat ever!! It’s pretty nearby to a bus stop that will take you into the city centre or around half an hour to walk. Amazing communication and overall a great experience :)

We have just had the most wonderful stay at this beautifully restored farmhouse. We were on a self-drive holiday from the UK and visited Utrecht, Lisse, Zandaam, all within an hour's drive from this location, along with a wander into IJsselstein. The accommodation was immaculately clean and had everything we needed to be able to cook whilst away, and Astrid is the most amazing host. We would definitely visit again would recommend it for a central location to visit lots of local tourist destinations. Make sure you take a wander locally and find the trust cafe, the Dutch Apple Cake is homemade and delicious!

We had a lovely stay at Ingrid's place. The surroundings were beautiful. Great mountain bike trails and by train you are already in Utrecht in 10 minutes. 'In the evening, we could sit outside, in peace. Ingrid gave us nice tips and responded very quickly to our messages.

My family had a lovely stay at Esther and Sam's place! Even before we arrived, they were very proactive in communicating with us, and they made it super easy to check in and out. The apartment itself is very spacious and modern, yet gezellig. The provided amenities were very nice; we especially liked the rain shower. We look forward to staying with them again!

Great place to stay in Utrecht in a very central location. Diederik is a great host, very responsive and helpful. The house is spacious and has everything you need to feel right at home. Lovely balcony to enjoy the spring weather :) I highly recommend it!

Jonathan's place is perfect for a short stay. The apartment and the garden are absolutely beautiful and really thoughtfully designed. It wasn't cold despite the large window (we used termostat). The kitchen is good for cooking. But it might be a little uncomfortable for long staying because the bathroom is really tiny (but it's not a problem for a few days). Jonathan was very friendly and helpful.

My partner and I stayed at Sylvia and Lex B&B in Utrecht for a week to attend a conference and we both found it charming and very comfortable. Sylvia was a very personable host and we always had very good communications. We so appreciated all the extras like wine and local beer, fresh eggs, bread, and meats and cheese as well the coffee and teas. We both slept comfortably and had no problem following instructions for heating or various appliances. What makes this place so special is it's location right on the canal in the heart of Utrecht. Even with the cooler weather we enjoyed every day! All of the artworks and books in the flat also create a unique visual experience - I love the grasshopper drawing! Utrecht is a very special place and staying here, in the medieval center with the bells chiming and boats floating by on the canal are incredibly memorable and romantic. Thank you again, we highly recommend!

Great apartment. Really well thought out. The level of detail in the guide put together was fabulous and really helpful. Excellent facilities, I’ve been to so many Airbnbs where you get one washing tab and limited hand soap. Here there was a good supply of everything. Bread, butter and cheese on arrival was a nice touch. Decent coffee machine too 😊 The beds were very very comfy! Couldn’t fault at all. I’d defo return should I ever happen to be in Utrecht. This stay was the friendliest and the most charming Airbnb experience we have had! The building is an incredible experience of history, built in the 1580s and renovated by Joost and his father 16 years ago. Great detailing, furnishing, and design reflecting Utrecht in every way. And Joost was incredibly friendly, always responsive, and respectful of our privacy. The location is great! Right in the heart of Utrecht, where everyone was so friendly to us throughout. The beds where comfortable, and the back bedrooms quiet. Our tweens loved the attic space for sleeping, with a window view over the square. There was noise from people in the square in the evenings but it did not bother us as all as it was not unlike the sounds in our urban neighborhood. Joost's attention to detail and design was evident throughout! When in Utrecht again, I will definitely stay here! And it super easy by train for the day to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or the Hague. Lastly, great daylight in the living room area!

Riwfkas place is wonderful . Cozy, clean and equipped with all you need for your holiday. Utrecht is a pleasant city with a friendly atmosphere. The check in was easy and Riwfka was welcoming and provided us with all the informations we needed.

Lots of space and great location if you plan to drive around. The view of the canal was very fun to have.

We had a very nice stay in Utrecht. The apartment is nice and very well located! You are right downtown. There are many restaurants in the area and by bike you are quickly in the countryside.

All of Harm's directions were accurate and helpful, and he was very friendly. Although the apartment is not very central, the metro and bus stops are less than 50 metres away. Getting to Utrecht Central Station takes 5 minutes. It is also a very quiet area where you can rest without any problems. The apartment is very nice and totally suitable for 4 people. The beds are comfortable. There is a nice balcony and a lovely living room, decorated with wonderful plants. It was a pleasure to have stayed in this apartment.

EP’s place met our needs for a quick trip to Driebergen. It was clean and quiet and close to basic services. Check in and out were quite simple. Thanks EP

Stellar stay! Our highlights: super quiet residential neighborhood with a nice park nearby, well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook, comfy beds and pillows, heating works really well. Lucas is super friendly and responsive host and he's even left some nice wine and sweets for us. Would certainly stay here again!

This is one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve experienced. This centuries old historic home is decorated with style and whimsy yet completely modern. Joyce and Ernst are warm and welcoming and have truly thought of everything. The location in Utrecht (a very special place) overlooks a canal and is peaceful and serene. A short walk away are many excellent restaurants, cool shops and a lovely park. Don’t miss the Miffy museum especially if traveling with children. I could go on about this lovely apartment, instead I encourage you book it and see for yourself.
