Arcata Hearth

We are an urban homestead complete with a permaculture-inspired garden, chickens, and bees we invite you to enjoy. We provide our guests with eggs, milk, coffee, tea, pastries and fruit. All our cleaning products are non-toxic. The Arcata Community forest where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll or an active long run is just down the street. Our home is close to the beach, downtown Arcata, and Humboldt State University. You’ll love our location, your hosts, the views, and our garden.

Relax and rejuvenate in our cozy guest suite. The room boasts a large living area, comfortable furnishings and a calming atmosphere. With all the luxuries and privacy of a hotel suite, we also boast beautiful gardens and a waterfall cascading down into a koi pond to enjoy. The suite has a private entrance and is situated at the end of the a quiet street in a upscale, safe neighborhood. We are 5 minutes to shopping and dinning and another five to the fabulous Moonstone Beach.

Set back hidden from the street in bamboo groves, it’s private and peaceful. Walk or Bike to nearby river, beaches, forest. Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. Your comfort is very important to me!

It's located down a quiet country road that feels far away from town but is only 4 easy miles from Arcata, home of Cal Poly Humboldt, and 6 miles to Eureka. The clean and freshly decorated space has a queen-sized bed and a full-size futon-style couch. Both beds have been reported as VERY comfortable!
