“This little house on Magnolia Hill is right at the bottom of the hill from Frontier Nursing University, and just a few walkable blocks from Main St Hyden, making the location just PERFECT! Keith and Andy are wonderfully accommodating and very helpful with local tips. The house is CLEAN, welcoming and comfortable, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom well-stocked with essentials. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! It even feels private and quaint while still being “in town.” If you’re visiting Hyden, this is the convenient and perfect home away from home!”

“My husband and I, with our two dogs, spent a long weekend at the farmhouse (four days, three nights). Comfortable, relaxing, and very enjoyable. The location is remote, which we enjoyed. We brought all our food, except that we purchased eggs, cheese and goat milk at the farm. The house is still being renovated, but was excellent for what are needed. Wonderful bright, spacious kitchen, comfy living room, bedroom and full bath all downstairs. Additional rooms are being setup for those who need more space. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. We had no cell service anywhere in the area and the internet was not reliable. This was fine for us, but be sure to download maps, activity info or whatever you need before you get there just in case. Also get groceries ahead. The kitchen is well supplied for anything you want to cook. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, chatty when you wanted to visit, but gave plenty of space. We opted to go on a tour of the farmyard, met the animals, fed the chickens and milked a goat. But our main purpose was hiking and relaxing, and it was an excellent place for both! It was great to have a completely fenced yard for the dogs so we could just let them out. The barn dogs do run the fence and monitor (bark) when dogs or people approach, so that would be hard if your dog isn't easy going, but they are quite friendly when approached while the owners are there. Overall, a wonderful stay. We would recommend and go again ourselves.”

“Glenna's rental house was a welcomed reprieve from the stresses of daily life. We truly enjoyed not having cell phone service and limited internet access -- if you're looking to really unplug, this is the spot for you. (Though when we did need to use the phone, Glenna was a gracious host and lent her landline!) The house served as the perfect home-base for day trips to Cumberland Falls and Red River Gorge. The scenery in this area of Kentucky is beautiful, and I highly recommend Glenna's place if you're thinking about spending some time in the region. Other positives: The A.C. worked great and it was very nice to have a grill and space on the back patio to play a game of cards. Also, check out Glenna's handmade hats!”
