The retreat, reached by a gentle walk past paddy fields, is surrounded by colorful marigolds, azaleas, and a bountiful garden of bananas, avocados, turmeric, and more. Meals here are authentic and flavorful, made with locally sourced ingredients, from Sel Roti to tree tomato chutney—Nepali cuisine at its finest. Siddharth and Suprina's care, alongside their hardworking neighbor, Anita (“Bhauju”), makes every moment feel like home. Adding charm is Brownie, their lovable dog, who becomes an instant friend. Siddharth’s close-knit community ties ensure all needs are met, from evening transport to local recommendations, despite the secluded setting. For anyone seeking an escape from city life, Kalimpong Village Retreat offers a soulful, peaceful stay with heartfelt hospitality. I left rejuvenated, grateful, and eager to return to this special place.

We had a 3 night stay at Sanjay's place and though it was pretty warm at Kalimpong, the house was cool, covered with greenery all around. If you like places which are away from the hustle and bustle, tucked within greenery, then this is the place to go. Food was homely and delicious. My 10 year old son was busy througout the stay playing in the adjoining areas in the property. We were travelling with old parents and my wife was recovering from a fractured foot so when we navigated through the flight of stairs to reach to our cottage, they did not seem happy. But all of that was gone the next days as they enjoyed all the walk they could get amidst the purity of nature. Sanjay and his staff are super responsive and always there with a smile. So in short, if you are looking at this property and reading my review, my suggestion would be to go ahead and book.

Kalimpong was a pleasant surprise, and Pranati homestay made our short holiday perfect. The place is exactly as described in the listing and feels truly like a home away from home. Prashant is more than just a host. He was tireless in his efforts to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Right from the time we booked, his communication and guidance were invaluable. His recommendations about local places to eat at and things to do were all perfect. I was so touched when he called us a day after we had checked out to enquire about our return journey. Would recommend everyone to give it a shot and spend a few blissful days at Pranati!

Nestled in the tranquil countryside, Palighar Farm Stay offers a rejuvenating retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a sense of tranquility that enveloped the entire property. The farm's rustic charm adds to its allure, with quaint cottages surrounded by lush greenery and sprawling fields. One of the highlights of our stay was the delectable Nepali cuisine served at the farm. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing fresh ingredients sourced from the surrounding area. The authentic flavors and hearty portions left me craving for more. However, it was not just the food that left a lasting impression; the staff's attentiveness and friendliness truly enhanced the overall experience. Whether it was taking us to the local market or simply engaging in casual conversation, their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.
